Wonderful premier inn, premier plus room really makes all the difference, great location, quite a few lovely restaurants nearby and local supermarkets to pick up essentials from, lovely room also very comfortable beds   

Great stay

We had a two night stay at this Premier Inn Jan 2024 & chose the Premier Plus room 
6th floor & decent view of offices, flats, river, supermarket & restaurant opposite, only heard the occasional blue light speeding past.

Beds super comfy & wide enough for us both to spread out. Bathroom clean, great supply of body washes. Shower very hot if needed & the power of water fab, didn’t want to get out, towels very thick & not too soft, only downfall was the loo roll, could do with being thicker.

The room is a decent size, with an armchair & foot stall along with desk/dressing table & chair. Decent size TV that worked well. Plenty of hanging space, ful length mirror, hairdryer, coffee pod machine, kettle & tea bags & plug sockets.
Decent bedsides & low level light in bathroom which means bedroom isn’t flooded with light on late night/early morning trips.

Air con/warmth easy to work as well as coffee pod & extras for this & bags free at reception. Decent check out time of 12 noon.

Only 2 things that need addressing is the lack of USB ports. Only one so if you’ve forgotten plugs it’s a mare. No on site parking, NCP parking very near but extortionate prices. £25 for each 24 hour.

This hotel is very nice & would totally recommend as close to many places to eat, drink & be entertained.

Our visit was to look at Salford Uni & had a great time in Manchester enjoying all on offer.

It’s marked as 4 stars because of lack of USB ports & parking prices

Uni tour, perfect stay

Great location for the Manchester Opera House and free bus stop. The room was lovely but a little too warm when we arrived. Room temp soon sorted with easy to use thermostat. Great deep bath/shower but slightly problematic if you are short, climbing over the high sides. Room was clean and quiet no issues. We had breakfast and it was fine but again if you are short many of the Breakfast things are set at the back of the counters so be prepared to stretch on top toes. The only downside was the vases in the dining area needed cleaning badly or removing. Some of the decor was a little shabby but just needs sprucing up.

Great location

Stayed over New Year and was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the hotel was. Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were all friendly and we made a last minute decision to have breakfast which was great. Will definitely stay here again when returning to Manchester. Location is great for spinningfields and takes about 15/20 minutes to walk to the town centre.

Quiet hotel

Honestly, I am horrified. 

I came here with 7 colleagues for a work event and we were annoyed to see pest control boxes in the lobby upon arrival, however, we kept it moving. 

Well, night 1, some of us were in the lobby after having some drinks and talking and low and behold, Mickey Mouse came out to play. We were definitely distressed and before the management or 'designated responsible person' make an apology for the situation, the first position was to not scream and return to our rooms. 

Day 2, well we were back in the bar area and one of our colleagues said he saw a mouse run past but everyone brushed it off. We moved area just in case and within 5 minutes, the mouse made an appearance from under the sofa that some of the team were on. We had members of the team exceptionally upset and standing on chairs whilst calling out for staff. The staff came and said she was going to get the manager and he came over telling silly stories calling it a 'magic mouse' as they've only had guests say they see the mouse, but they as the staff have never seen the mouse. 

Well, karma came with a vengeance and ANOTHER mouse ran out whilst he told this story and he then started to run around and try to catch the mouse. Christmas tree moved, tables moved and low and behold, the mouse escapes and starts running all over the restaurant. 

I then ask one of the staff members if they think there is more than one mouse. Well, again whilst he was talking and telling us that the mouse was clever, ANOTHER one came out and started running around. 

I'm just done with this whole mouse situation and I am DONE with this. 

I will be making an official complaint tomorrow morning and will NOT stay here again! 

MICE IN THIS HOTEL RESTAURANT and LOBBY

Lift out of order, shower leaked, lumpy bed that moved every time i sat on the bed (was on casters) and staff that pretty much dismissed my concerns. Shame as ive stayed at other premier inns before and this one fell well short of my expectations

Just Disapointing

No help when we witnessed a fight and the police came and kept us up all night. Staff lied about having a room for the next night felt like they wanted to get rid of us for no reason. Very rude and horrible

Poor staff

Stayed Friday night as we were going to the theatre. Very easy booking process, very close to the theatre, did a food package which was good value for money. Staff were all friendly and had good banter. Great stay. Thanks.

Excellent staff

I wouldn’t normally bother with rating a stay at a Premier Inn, but we had a very happy 4 night stay as a family. 
Location was excellent with a c.15 minute walk to the centre of Manchester; bars and restaurants were even closer by.
Staff were friendly and courteous, cooked breakfast was very good, bar area fine, and the room was the usual Premier Inn - ie clean and functional.

Excellent family stay

We booked this hotel as we were going to see Mama Mia at the Opera House. It did not disappoint. 5 mins walk away. Clean, lovely hotel with helpful staff. Would definitely recommend. 15 mins walk from Manchester Victoria
