Despite being very busy, Corey and the staff had time to help us find our way round Rye, courtesy of a map they gave us. Also gave us recommendations for parking, which was much appreciated.
We had some of their excellent home baking and coffee and enjoyed the view.

Perfect break.

We came to Rye to celebrate my special birthday and we wanted somewhere to stay for 2 nights last weekend. There were 8 of us in 4 rooms.
The beds were comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms well thought out. The bath and showers were excellent as were the facilities in the room.
The staff were wonderful. Nothing was too
much trouble and the breakfasts were amazing! I had scallops Benedict as it was Rye Scallop week. Probably one of the most amazing tasting breakfasts I have ever had.
Kate, Corey and the lovely woman who patiently waited for us to arrive late were kind and accommodating and we can’t wait to go back but sooner than the 10 years it will take to get to my next special birthday! Highly recommend Hayden’s. Perhaps not as glitzy as the hotel up the road but the staff’s attentiveness gives Hayden’s a special shine of its own.

A gem in Rye high street.

I stayed at Hayden's on a cold wet wintery weekend in January and the welcoming I got could not have been more welcome and warming. 

The B&B is a small family run business but don't let this put you off.  It's run much more like a larger hotel and the amenities are great for such a small place.  There's so many things included in the price. 

I was greeted by a very polite receptionist and checked in to the silver room.  Upon entiering I noticed how large the room was compared to other comparable B&Bs, much larger than most hotels.  The room was beautifully finished and had tea, coffee, biscuits and even a small fridge with complimentary water.  The toiletries were all locally sourced which i understand is the ethos of the establishment.  Along with the room itself there was the view which was beautiful out over the marshes and onto Dungeness. 

I had dinner with the family that own and operate the hotel and it was lovely.  I had beef Bourguignon with a side of fresh locally sourced vegetables and it was extremely tasty.  For pudding there was a choice of tiramisu or Eton Mess.  Both looked so appetising but I was full from the main course!  In the morning I had a full english cooked breakfast and all the ingredients were absolutely top class, no brakes brothers grey mushy sausages.  All the food was fantastic and I was extremely impressed and wouldn't heistate to return. 

A really very pleasant trip and so nice to find a local business supporting local people and promoting the area where they are based.

A little Gem in Sussex

Warm welcome, comfy beds and fine breakfast.Great location in old town.Convenient for Knoops chocolate, Wideye soap and Union for imaginative small plates. Short walk up Market Road from main carpark £2.50 full 24 hrs, carpark closed Thursday

Comfortable B&B with an expansive choice of breakfast

Excellent accommodation with everything you need in the rooms. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Fantastic breakfast with wide choice. Lovely welcome with homemade cake. Wifi wasn’t the easiest to use and parking is pot luck but this is Rye. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

First class hotel, no hesitation in returning or recommending. Our room was very nice, the hotel in a great location, food was excellent and the staff were brilliant. Breakfast on the balcony was an added bonus.

Dont normally make these comments but our stay at Haydens was perfect. Lovely welcoming drinks and cake, great breakfast. Impeccable room with every need catered for. We have stayed in enough good quality hotels to understand just how good Haydens really is. Well done to all.

B & B Perfection

After 22 years of visitng Flackley Ash I have now become disabled and I cannot thank the excellent staff who made my stay so enjoyable last week.  Food was superb and would highly recommend a stay here.

Another enjoyable stay in this delightful B&B in the centre of Rye where I have stayed a number of times on golf trips.  A comfortable room and bed, delightful staff, and an really excellent breakfast.  Thankfully, no pets.

Comes up trumps again

One night stay, very impressed. Very central location. Lovely well-maintained room - Chocolate - overlooking the high street (although absolutely no noise trouble at all). Very spacious room, comfy bed with good quality linen, decent bathroom, top quality local toiletries, a separate shower, a nice lounge area, plenty of storage and sockets and a fridge and tea/coffee facilities with lots of goodies. Good wifi throughout. The staff and service here really are excellent - nice friendly welcome, offered cake on arrival but we’d not long eaten so this was brought up to our room for later (with a choice of cream) and always smiling. The excellent (cooked to order with a very wide choice of dishes) breakfast is served in the small restaurant with lovely views over the river and fields/marshes below.  Parking was cheap and easy in the market car park which was 5 mins walk away - grateful for the useful information sent by the owners with the booking confirmation. Highly recommended and will hopefully return soon.
