We did the C2C last weekend and had booked (about a month in advance) to stay there.  When we arrived, they had given our room away, despite having our name and telephone number clearly in the diary.  There was then a half apology, and no attempt to rectify the situation from the barman (and no sign of the manager despite people trying to get in touch) – a couple of the regulars tried to help us out and we ended up having to travel to Carlisle to get a room.  

In addition:
They are not set up for C2C cyclists.  Their “bike store” was full of old furniture.  We were told we could leave our bikes in the kitchen, but that staff only came in at 2pm on a Sunday – not much use if you need to cycle
This is very much a boozer – how C2C cyclists would be able to get some sleep, I don’t know.
