brilliant hotel with a family room plenty of room. staff were very accommodating and it was clean n the bed was comfy. i paid extra for breakfast as wasnt included in price but must say very enjoyable. would visit again

family holiday

We were well looked after by Veronican and Saeeda. They were friendly, accommodating, helpful, and worked hard to make our stay a comfortable one. Food was good. Swimming pool just opened was clean and refreshing!

Very friendly and homely guest house.

Arrived at the richmond just after lunch time on friday 29th of april,for the bmad festival!
Was greeted by Rick,who showed us to our room,we had room 7 on the top floor.The room had everything we required for a very pleasant stay,nice comfy bed,toiletries were provided and plenty of tea,coffee,milk,biscuits etc.Lovely hot shower,with lovely fluffy towels!Everything spotlessly clean,the toilet was just across the landing from us,and we knew this before we booked,because it was explained to us,this was however no problem at all,after we unpacked,we were also offered tea and cake!
There was also a street party going on for the royal wedding,and we were offered to join this too if we had wanted,which was a very nice thought!
Breakfast was served between 8.30 and 9.00,and was very nice too!!juice and a good choice of cereals to start,i can highly recommend the luxury muesli,was delicious!
Plenty of tea and coffee,and as much toast as you could eat,with lots of jams,marmalades and honey to choose from!Must also add the devonshire tea was lovely!
Rick and Alison made our stay a very enjoyable one,nothing was too much trouble,and they always went out of there way to stop and chat!!
They recommended a lovely chinese buffet for us,and even come out to see us off when we left!!
I would recommend this guest house to anyone without a doubt,and i really can't understand what the 1st reviewer would have to complain about,but everyone is entitled to there opinion!
The richmond is only a 2 min walk to paignton green,and a 5/10 min walk to the town,its located in a quiet area and you get a great nights sleep!!

Lovely friendly guesthouse,made very welcome!!!!

Great location - minutes from the pier & seafront. Owners friendly and helpful - couldn't do enough for us and the home cooked food was superb. Had such a great week that we stayed an extra day. Really recommend this guest house - relaxing, great dinners and breakfast laid on - heaven for a normally busy Mum and the kids loved it too!!

Excellent friendly guest house

Well this is the first time I have had to write an adverse review on a booking I have made with bookings.com
We went for a relaxed short break
Woken up both mornings by load music from Kitchen 
We had breakfast first morning, but its very rushed - half hour time slot 8:30 - 9:00
Didnt bother 2 morning(Sunday) as after being woken by the music just after 8 we just couldnt be bothered. 
Shower - my partner isnt big but kept hitting his shoulders on sides when he turned round!!!
Room OK , view not worth a mention
Not worth the money & we had to pay on booking. 
Feel like asking for refund
