This guest house is well placed for the beach although a little way from the town centre. At its price it represents excellent value for money - friendly welcoming host, well equipped room (although it was a little basic) and everywhere extremely clean.

Good value stay

Viv and Mike were excellent hosts. Excellent clean accommodation - all that we expected.  Breakfasts A1.  Rooms replenished daily. Would highly recommend.  Located very near to beach.  We would definitely stay again.

Excellent guesthouse in Lowestoft

A bed and breakfast where the owners seemingly hate having guests. I will say the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. However, the hosts, particularly the gentleman, were rude and brusque. We were curtly asked what time we want breakfast because “they were going out”. At breakfast, the gentleman asked what we wanted and when we asked what was available he replied with “did you not read the menu?” in a terse and churlish manner. We then had overcooked eggs and out of date yoghurt but did not feel comfortable mentioning this. At one point I was fumbling to open the front door as I had my hands full and after struggling for a good couple of minutes, I finally opened the door to find the lady sitting right there; so instead of helping open the door she will have seen me struggling through the frosted door panel and decided not to help let me in. The gentleman told us we “needed our heads testing” when we asked for food recommendations and told him we were looking to go to the local Turkish restaurant (it was delicious, he was wrong). Our friends stayed at The Corner House just a few doors down and had a much more pleasant, enjoyable experience.

Awfully rude hosts/owners but comfortable room

Agree with previous review! Phoned up to check one or two things before booking and an obviously elderly gentleman was very rude, he just said " every thing is on Booking. com". When I told him booking .com said contact the property, he was still rude. When I asked if rooms had a bath or shower he rudely replied " we don't have baths"!
How this guest house gets so many good reviews, I don't know! Perhaps that was back in 2018/19?

Rude owner!

Called them up to ask for a room at late notice for 2 adults and a baby and he rudely cut me right off and said in a very RUDE and moody Manor "no! Do not accept children!" very rude unhappy miserable old man. Wouldn't put money in their pocket!

Rude!

Absolutely superb place to stay with everything thought of. Very clean, very tidy and comfortable. Ideal spot for all amenities, town a short walk, or bus stop a few yards away. Plenty of parking available on-street. Most definitely stay again.

One Night Stay

Breakfast is fantastic and tasty.  Friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts.  10 minutes to the beautiful sandy beach.  We wanted breakfast early and Viv and Mike willingly agreed to give us an early breakfast.  Will recommend to any one.

Friendly host

This is a scrupulously clean guesthouse which is well situated.  You can walk to a number of restaurants within 10-20 mins along the front.  Parking proved to be quite easy nearby.  Free WiFi and with good signal strength.  The rooms are bright and airy with a fridge which is a really practical touch ( although we found them a little noisy).  Breakfast was good but only orange juice available so doesn’t cater so well for smaller guests.  I would have preferred jam too but these were small points in a hassle free stay.

One night stopover

Lovley warm welcoming hosts we loved our room it had everything we needed nothing is to much trouble for our hosts it is in our favorite part of lowestoft definitely located in the nicest part of the town we hope to stay again soon

An oasis in lowestoft

Just returned from a night stay in this B&B and found the host to be very friendly and informative, recommending us to a very good restaurant (not expensive either)
room was large and kept very clean with fridge and television and nice en suite with 
towels and toiletries.
The location was good for the beach and main resort.
Breakfast was very good being freshly cooked,no complaints here and included everything we required.
