Loved staying at Phil and Lynne’s. The rooms were enormous so much bigger than others we have stayed in. We were in the double on the ground floor. Even though it felt like you were in remote Orkney you were never actually far from everywhere. We had three nights and bought some cheeses and bread one night and ate in in the breakfast area. We did heaps of walking, sightseeing to the Neolithic sites and exploring. Went North/West and walked to the whale bone on the cliffs near Birsay, South/East to Mull Head walking circuit 8km, South to St Margarets Hope and Burwick and lots more. Everything is accessible and good roads. Peter and Lynne have heaps of local knowas well, and good for a chat. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh and healthy. Towels large and fluffy and lovely shower soap. We loved The Orkney Islands and this was the perfect place to stay.

Great Location

Good clean comfortable B&B with friendly and helpful hosts. Nice bright and clean rooms with modern bathroom.  A little out of town but very handy to all the Neolithic sites and very quiet and peaceful.

Wow - this B&B, run by empty nesters Phil & Lynn, was simply perfect.  The central location could not be better for exploring the Orkney Islands, and that is just the beginning.  The B&B is spotlessly clean and perfectly appointed.  The hosts were always willing to help - more than once in our five day stay did they go above and beyond what was to be expected.  And. The. Food.  I will never be able to recreate Lynn's porridge.  She would not confess her secret, only saying that the Orkney butter made it so good.  We miss this place already!

Perfect home base for the Orkneys

This was the most comfortable, clean, and welcoming place you would ever want. The owners were so helpful with suggestions of attractions suitable to our needs. It is located near many historic places to visit. The breakfast served here was outstanding. We hope to come back soon!

Hammersmith B7B, a home away from home

 Nice quiet location.  We had a very comfortable twin bed room with ensuite on the first floor. Phil and Linda looked after us very well. Phil suggested the best places to visit as we only had one full day there. They also provided a fantastic breakfast with delicious fresh fruit and yummy porridge + the usual eggs etc. Easy to find with their instructions or google maps. So much to see that it is better to spend a few days in this part of the Orkneys!
