My husband and I booked a 1 night stay as we were attending a 50th birthday party nearby. What a gem situated on the banks of the River Wye. Marta (proprietor) was very friendly and professional from start to finish. 

Our spacious and very comfortable room overlooked the river. Tea/coffee facilities and shortbread cookies 🍪 in the room. 

There is an honesty bar which is rare to find these days! Lovely idea. The breakfast menu was extensive with some options which you don’t always see. Very warm feeling all round. 

My only regret is that we didn’t get chance to dine in as again the menu looked very tempting with log fires to sit next to in the evening. We will definitely recommend and return soon, probably for longer too. 

Marta was very friendly and professional from start to finish.

A beautiful Bed & Breakfast right on the banks of River Wye!

Had a lovely stay at the Parva over the bank holiday weekend. View of the river Wye from the room was great despite the weather. A lovely room and en suite with a large comfortable bed. A nice touch with coffee and home made biscuits on arrival. The breakfast was delicious, I left very content after the ‘full Welsh’. Lovely hosts, will be returning soon.

Weekend Stay

stayed with my partner 23rd march 2024  for one evening.very dark and dingy place old furniture stained and scratced.no reception just had to hang around until marta arrived .£185 for one evening no gas central heating just a plug in radiator for warmth.room with a view of the wye valley ,window could do with a clean .furniture old and  tatty .needs putting in a skip.the mattress was hard and pillows too,did not sleep well at all.the bathroom grout needs a clean as was filthy with skin and soap.upon moving the bed the floor was covered in a thick layer of dust and has not been cleaned in a very long time.no bar facilities .breakfast was dissapointing over cooked bacon over cooked fried egg. it was obvious the floor underneath our table was not cleaned prior to breakfast,. more food on the floor than was on my breakfast plate. is not luxury at all no bath in the room.one bottle of complimentry shampoo and body wash four measly biscuits with the coffee.i did not pay the £185 told marta it was not worth that payed £135  and that was being generous, and still too much ,no parking as no designated parking at all.had too park down the road . HOTEL ACOSS THE ROAD THE WYE VALLEY HOTEL SO MUCH NICER, WARM WITH OPEN FIRES, GREAT HOSTS.LOVELY BAR  AND FOOD AND PARKING FOR GUESTS. 3 out of ten for parva  .overpriced and dissapointing in all aspects.get decent furniture and get the decorators in brighten up the place.this is not luxury but over priced pretensious b and b

very over priced

I booked for a Mother's Day treat for myself and my mum. We had expected a friendly bed and breakfast in a farmhouse environment, relaxed and with a touch of luxury. We had heard about both the owner's experience in a Michelin Star restaurant previously and so booked for a hopefully memorable dinner. The bedroom was not cleaned to a very good standard. The towels were threadbare , the service and dinner were average. The chairs in the dining room are very uncomfortable and the table settings were just strange. The whole experience was very dissapointing. 

Dissapointing and below expectation

Amazing cosy,beautiful place ..amazing food..amazing cosy room with the most amazing bed ever...stayed for 2 nights and can't wait to come back..run by husband and wife,and what an amazing job they do..absolutely love this place...stayed in room 4..absolute beautiful views

Break from the kids

The hotel is a family business and the staff could not be more welcoming. The room was lovely, there are very nice public areas, and the restaurant is brilliant including a terrific breakfast. Located near the bank of the Wye river, there are good walks nearby and many local attractions. Highly recommended.

Great hospitality and a wonderful location

Just back from a weekend at Parva Farmhouse. First visited here over 30 years ago and it was lovely to find that it is still a great place to stay. Received a very warm and friendly welcome and our room on the second floor had a very comfortable large bed with good quality bedding and a view over the river. Home made biscuits were a nice touch in addition to the water, tea and coffee provided. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was exceptional. Breakfast was also great with a varied menu of freshly cooked items that were a little different to the usual B&B menu. Marta is a great hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A lovely place to stay with a great restaurant

Just had two nights at Parva farmhouse.  Thoroughly relaxing stay.  The breakfast was exceptional, quality and expertly cooked.  Would definitely recommend with charming hosts to look after you.  Room was very clean with a comfortable bed and beautiful white linen.

Very satisfying stay!

This is a delightful b&b and we spent 2 nights, the second dining in the restaurant.  The room we had was on the top floor with a lovely view of the River Wye.  Our room was lovely with everything we needed, comfy bed and very smart bathroom, decorated and fitted out to a very high standard. A short walk into the quiet little Tintern and there was a choice of pubs and the stunning Tintern Abbey. Breakfast was so good especially the Parva cooked breakfast.  Our evening meal on the Tuesday was the best we have eaten in a very long time and it is clear that Marta and Roger maintain exceptional standards in both hospitality and catering. Marta was a delightful host and we were made to feel so welcome. Will return again as it was such a relaxing and delightful place. Stay here and you will not be disappointed. 

Fabulous stay

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast; Marta is a terrific host. We ate dinner one evening and stayed two nights while exploring Tintern in the daytime. The whole experience was wonderful. I would highly recommend the Parva Farmhouse as a bed & breakfast and also as a restaurant.
