The Kings Arms is a classic Cotswold inn. We loved it! The staff was warm and welcoming and very helpful. The breakfasts were great and the location in the Cotswalds was perfect for us. My friend and I would definitely recommend the Kings Arms to anyone visiting the area!

Perfect Cotswold Inn

Superb. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food & service was excellent. The breakfastcwas great.

Excellent stay

This was a perfect base for our Cotswolds weekend away. The old inn is full of character. Yes, that means lots of narrow stairs and uneven floors but it’s quirky and charming. In our room at the top of the building we had gorgeous wooden beams and window seats overlooking the town square. Small bathroom. Free WiFi and a smart TV so we could log into our own streaming accounts. There’s parking at the back which is a bit tight but very convenient. We booked dinner for our first night and had a decent pie and vegetarian pasta. The staff were friendly and cheerful. Breakfast was included -and a great start to the day - with coffee/tea, juice, cereal, toast, fruit and a range of cooked breakfast options. Stow is a lovely town with lots going on, including a number of pubs, coffee shops, gift shops and historical sights. Would definitely recommend.

A joy for the history lover, but it has some seriously steep stairs and uneven floors. The room was large and clean with a modern bathroom. If you like historic inns this place is worthy of your consideration, but be prepared for the stairs!

We’ve just returned from a wonderful break at this lovely hotel. All the staff are an asset to this hotel, especially the Australian and New Zealand girls who work so hard and always jolly. The room we had was up a very steep set of stairs which are not for the faint hearted! But the room was lovely. Very cosy with a wonderful view overlooking the square. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, as so were all the meals we had there. Especially the Wednesday pie night deal. The pot pie was amazing. We shall definitely return to this hotel. Thank you.

Fabulous winter break

Welcoming staff, lovely food and comfortable room. Nothing to fault.

Enjoyable stay

The staff was friendly, the room was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was really well done, and the location was great, right in the town market square, and a very cloase drive to a lot of scenic Costswolds beauty.

A great Inn!

Stayed one night celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. Spilt level room was lovely and even had an xmas tree. Breakfast excellent as was dinner although the restaurant was closed so we ended up having dinner in the bar. Perfect location, friendly staff and highly recommended.

One night stay.

We stayed in Room 3, one of the outside rooms, it was fantastic, with a small downstairs lounge area, and an upstairs galleried bedroom area on a mezzanine - it was a lovely cosy, snug room with exposed beams, and costwsold stone walls - the food & breakfast in the Pub is great too. The Carpark is small and tight, but we were lucky to get a space on both our nights as we arrived back early, but considering its location right in the heart of Stow-on-the Wold its a bonus. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi just simply did not work anywhere in the building, but it did not spoil our trip.  We would definitely stay again. Thanks!
