What was good

Check in simple, reception staff lovely. Double room - really comfortable bed and pillows, shower was ok but the room was really dated and looked like it hadnt saw a lick of paint for years. Lovely table service for breakfast served by pleasant young men and woman. Bistro - looked more like a canteen, we had curry which tasted like the £5 boxed indian curry from Asda but at an overpriced cost of £31 for 2, defo woudnt use the Bistro again. The bar - cheap and nasty tape used on the seating to indicate social distancing which made the place look ridiculous. Drinks were decent priced but no effort was made to make a simple drink like a gin look nice enough to drink, old fashioned glass with no ice that you would expect in the 70s. Owners should start putting money back into the hotel bringing it into this centuary, provide bar training, invest in better standards of social distancing tools. Sounds like we didnt enjoy ourselves but we had an ok time, if next time im in Fort William and the hotel came up at a decent price I would stay again but will not use the facilities.
