Stayed here over night. Large bathroom, good shower,

Good size bedroom, mattress not for my liking, to soft , However other people may like it like that. 

Tea & coffee facilities . The rooms were very clean. 
Breakfast included in the low price. One moan here breakfast not served till 8 am.??

Saying that the breakfast was fantastic. There’s a pub less than 100 meters away that serves a nice evening meal , also a Chippy very close by. 

The staff are very nice and helpful, quick and easy booking process. 

So for the price I paid , well worth it. 

I would definitely recommend this place .

GOOD VALUE 

Stayed one night, room was clean ,comfortable and reasonably spacious. Breakfast in the morning was as good as I've had anywhere. Staff were pleasant and helpful ,would book there again . It is central to Exeter, with a pub just found the corner.

Cedar tree lodge

Love it here at the hotel , the staff are so nice, great breakfast, comfortable rooms, Exeter is such a lovely place to explore, and a walk along the river exe (priceless) So go on and visit and see all the beautiful scenery Exeter and surrounding areas have to offer.

Is this B&B basic? Yes. 
But is it clean? Yes. 
Does it have friendly and helpful staff? Yes. 
Is the breakfast good? Yes.
Is it worth the money they charge? Absolutely. 
Accommodation near the city centre, if you’re staying one or two nights, doesn’t get much better value than this. Would definitely stay again.

What more could you want?

I stayed for one night and found the room clean and comfortable, the shower was hot in the morning and the staff very helpful. would stay here again.it is within easy reach of the town centre although there is a bit of a hill!

Very Pleasant

This was a one night stopover on the way to Cornwall. The young lady on reception was friendly, the room was fine though not luxurious! We had a twin room as that was only one available online but price was excellent. After a good sleep we came down to a fresh cooked breakfast including excellent scrambled eggs! The two young women on duty were very good and, though busy,

Better than the reviews

By no means a bad hotel, very happy with what we got for the price. Clean room, comfy bed, lovely staff and great breakfast. 
Unfortunate that it's a bit noisy as you can hear other people very clearly around you! And yes it looks outdated. But honestly it ticks all the boxes and you could do so much worse. 

Not Bad...Not Great.

Stayed here for 2 nights, breakfast was very nice I do have a few moans, the parking not very good as we had been out all day. There was nowhere to park the car, we had to park down the road, also the bed was not comfortable at all had 2 bad nights sleep due to a rubbish mattress.

I thought I knew what I was getting into by staying here, but I didn’t quite expect it to be as basic as it was. On the plus side it was very clean which is always a necessity. However, the room was so very outdated and tired I felt like I had gone back to the 70s. I could list so many issues that could be so simple to fix to make it better, but there are too many! It wasn’t that cheap either when compared to Holiday Inn or the like (£30 cheaper which isn’t a great deal) but it was a million miles away from that comfort. I would definitely pay the extra when I next come to Exeter. It was a really depressing place to stay sadly and I was glad it was only for 2 nights while visiting my friend. If it had been for a holiday I would have gone somewhere else for sure! 

Very very basic

Out dated and very drab, needs a lot of updating and the reception area is very cheaply made, who makes a reception desk out of old radiator covers...spend some money on the place and bring it into the 21st century
