I don't no why everyone is moaning so much unless they really thought it was going to be the ritz for such a cheap price! 
Staff were lovely, my room got upgraded to a double instead of 2 singles.
Bed was so comfortable and warm...but obviously if you know how to turn the knobs on the radiators. 

I'd definitely stay again, great location, great price. I thank you.

Don't ever stay here.. they steal your deposit and never pay it back.. worst place ever. Police were constantly there and the place stinks.. worst place ever to stay abd advise not tk ever  go here it's terrible

Don't stay here

I booked last minute, looking for somewhere cheap at short notice. Didn't read reviews first. My heart sank when I did. However - non-refundable, so I decided I'd stay. The lobby has more the feel of a hostel than a hotel, but it certainly wasn't bad. Guy on front desk was welcoming. Corridors could do with a freshen up but my room had clearly been fairly recently renovated and looked exactly like the pictures on Expedia. Spacious bathroom, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. Well stocked tea tray, biscuits and milk well inside use-by dates. Only odd thing about the room was the curtains on the two windows were completely mismatched. I had a quiet night - didn't hear any noise from other guests at all. Would I stay again? Probably not, but only because there are other hotels in Eastbourne I prefer that weren't available this time.

Given past reviews I was pleasantly surprised

Ok... good bits.
The hotel is close to all amenities.  We could get parking which is on the roads outside. The room was clean, although spare bed had hairs all over it like it'd been left and not washed from previous guests.

Always someone looking shifty sitting on the steps outside.
Staff seem willing to help but don't always know how.
There are definitely people on a 'scheme' that are living there. Our neighbours got in at 3.45am and was awake til 7am when they went back out!! They were so loud we called reception who had a word with them. After some quietness, we heard one guy threatening someone on the phone, saying he's going to 'cut him up with his machete' we informed the reception man and swiftly left.

This hotel is not for kids!! I would not feel safe taking my children to stay here. I think the hotel rents rooms out to individuals at a low cost. However they should put paying guests on a floor of thrir own.

Not for families

Myself and my wife had come away for a short mini moon after we got married. Well this hotel ruined that for us! I strongly advise people to steer clear from this hotel! When we arrived it didn’t seem right. Just an edgy feeling to it. 
The lift is practically a cupboard. 
Now on to the room! it was dirty, unclean, NOTHING like the photos. 

Soon as you walked in you was greeted with half the wall practically falling off. Tiniest bathroom in the world which I was sitting on the bath at the same time!

We decided we would have rather of slept in our car than this place! 

When we checked out within an hour of being there. The guy behind the counter gave me a email address to email regarding my refund. 
Only for me to leave the building and have 4 emails bound e back to me because the address was not correct. 
So I went back to get the correct one and after the guy on the counter having a go at me like all this was my fault he finally gave me another one.

DISGRACEFUL

Booked two rooms - a twin for my daughter and 1, and a single for my sister. Both rooms were newly refurbished to quite a high standard; were clean and had a really nice fragrance (my daughter found this important!). This is where the positives end. 

We were all on the third floor and the heat when entering the foyer hit us immediately. As we took the lift up, the heat on our floor was stifling. The radiators were on full and the room thermometer was reading 25.5c in both rooms so we turned the radiators off on the TRVs. The panel on the walls that showed the temperature, didn't actually appear to control the heating in the room. 

Both rooms had old sash windows, which has been painted shut. The window in my room (twin) opened, but the sash was broken, so it wouldn't stay open. The rooms remained at 25c for the duration of our stay and it was far too hot to sleep, so we went two nights without. We just couldn't get comfortable in the heat. Additionally, the window in my sister's room (single) just rattled so she had no chance. 

The water pressure in both rooms was a joke. it took ages to work out how to use the shower, and the pressure from the head was so poor water just dribbled down straight into the plug. We gave up and just ran baths.

Neither of the rooms was refreshed, which we were not expecting. As usual, we placed used towels for replacement in the bath and were not given new ones; the long-life milks we'd used were not replaced and beds were not made. We tried to use the vending machine in the foyer for coffee, but the reception was unattended (it's not a vending machine you put coins in) and the next day the machine was just off. 

Overall a really poor stay and have complained asking for a refund. 

Really poor experience

The outside of the building looked okay but it was night time! The reception area wasn't much, a vending machine, couple of chairs, dirty old carpet.
The room we were given was dirty, stained carpet, broken dressing table/floating shelf, stained pillow, mis matched furniture  and a bathroom that mouldy and dirty. 

There was also a live wire terminated in a chocky block and wrapped up with insulation tape!! How the owners have allowed this is beyond me. It is illegal and damn right dangerous. If a toddler had been messing about with this it would have caused serious injury or even possibly death!!

We left our bags in the room as we arrived late and went out to get a takeaway and decided that we could not stay there so contacted one of the well known chain hotels and paid the extra to stay there.

The £144 we paid for the night and we never actually stayed there, we are still trying to get our money back through booking.com as the hotel have said they have already given the refund back to booking.com for which booking.com have confirmed thay hjave not recieved. I would advise you there are plenty of other nice hotels in Eastbourne and to stay!

Avoid at all costs

Had a fabulous Stay here for 2 nights with my Aunty. The Manager Deep is very friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely clean and had a lovely modern touch to it. Everything is within walking distance.  We will definitely be coming back soon.

We arrived to a run down looking building. I gave it the benefit of the doubt after hearing about newly renovated rooms. Where are these rooms? What we were given was a dirty, stained carpet, broken headboard, stained lampshade, mis matched furniture, a window that wouldn’t open and a bathroom that was so small and did not have a door (only a wooden board you can to physically pick up to put across). As soon as I walked into the room I had to go straight online to book another accommodation as someone would have to pay me to stay in that room let alone the £100 we paid for the night! We are still trying to get our money back through booking.com as the hotel are not taking any responsibility. I would advise you there are plenty of other nice accommodation in Eastbourne and to stay here!

Do not stay here!!

Got stuck in Eastbourne on Saturday night and managed to get a room here in Pearl and Pebbles. Wow what a stunning room it was huge airy and scrupulously clean. Room had sea view and was great for seeing huge red moon over the sea. Staff friendly and informative, close to town and almost next to theatres. Would definitely stay again.
