Avoid at all cost .the rooms cold damp and need a good upgrade. The food is very poor .the gentleman's  toilets want a good sand blast they are that dirty. The only thing is bar staff are very nice but over worked

New Years Eve 2023 was a disaster.
Manager was  extremely rude and couldn't organise the seating. People had to sit on the landing, but he refused to put a few more chairs in the room. He argued with guests and wouldn't help them. Would never go there again.

DON'T  GO THERE UF YOU LIKE DECENT FOOD & KNOW HOW TO COOK!! 
I complained because a jacket potato  was not fully cooked & only just warm. The chef said " Are you sure?" !!! I was then offered roast beef with discoloured cabbage  - very unappetising. Roast potatoes the were soft & only just coloured, not roasted at all. When I questioned the state of the cabbage I was told - because white cabbage is always that colour when cooked !!!@###!!!! I am 79, mother of 3, grandmother of 6, I have  cooked since 1o years old. Both the chef & hotel manager gave the same excuse. There were lots of complaints from others too.

Awful food for Christnas

The hotel is right on the sea front with lovely views if you book a seaview room.  The room was big and vey clean but needed updating. The staff were wonderful especially the restaunt waiters.  Food was nice with a good menu and nothing was to much trouble.

Just returned from a 5day Alfa festive  coach holiday to this hotel, large room 3rd floor sea view.Extremely cold room with inadequately small radiator and that wasn't on most of the time, gaps around windows and gale blowing in,bathroom tiles falling away from wall, leak on shower waste that ran out onto floor, NO HOT WATER TO EITHER SHOWER OR TAPS, service in restaurant was good but the food was poor, bar staff were excellent , entertainment was good, the usual bingo and artist and  although we like Eastbourne  we will not be returning to  this hotel again.

A big letdown from Alfa

5 day Alfa coach trip, lovely large spacious hotel, big rooms many with sea views. Right opposite the pier.. lovely promenade in both directions… friendly efficient staff, typical Alfa food, hot tasty and plentiful! Fab breakfast… idea location to enjoy Eastbourne!

Went here with K M travel on a coach trip .Hotel was very large ,bedrooms very clean apart from bathroom which had lots of dust around the heated towel rail and the sink ,the room was lovely and warm .The water leaked from the bath when using the shower  had to put towel on floor to mop up the water . Food was lovely and pleasantly served by Daniella, nothing was too much trouble .Entertainment could have been better ,the first night the singer/comedian didn't know the words to any songs and only sang 1 song all the way through,the second night the singer sang very slow songs all night and we could have fallen asleep, the 4th night singer/guitarist was very good . The reception staff could have been more  friendly ,

Nice hotel ,good food

Had a lovely stay at the Queens. The room was huge with ceiling to floor Windows so lovely views but a bit draughty at times as Windows are old. Th e food was good & service was excellent. Entertainment was  enjoyable.

Arrived day before Christmas Eve, made welcome on coach by a member of staff, key card for room given efficiently.  Room ok, must say towels not overly large for the showering, bit of a disappointment, also only two small soaps, but otherwise ok. First night problems with heating so cold shower on first morning but in all fairness hotel got sorted very quickly. Food was good, service by restaurants staff excellent. All in all a good holiday, Christmas through to New Year.
