Ate here 3/4 times while on holiday and staying 2 mins up the road.
Really good food and a varied menu. Staff really friendly, would recommend!
Our favourites were..
Katsu curry, cauliflower curry, chicken burger and Greek side salad. 
Deserts were fantastic too!

While on holiday

Went on spec on a quiet Thursday afternoon, as it’s been quite a while since I last visited I was pleasantly surprised by the changes, very nice .
The menu is excellent with loads of choice.
We went for grilled sea bass and chicken supreme, we were advised there would be a 20-25 min wait as they were cooked from fresh, we decided it might be worth the wait and it was.
Both were served with new potatoes and seasonal veg and both were superb, cooked to perfection, absolutely faultless. The quality of the food is as good as it gets , can’t recommend enough. Even better for the meals and two soft drinks the bill was £31 !!!
We will be back 👍

Fabulous food and great value !

Doug, Jamie and team made us feel at home. Food was superb. Finding the hotel due to work we decided to go up as a couple from Hampshire. Great views around the area. Great little surprise. So glad we chose local and not chain hotel. If we are back this way we will stay again.

Great service and great food. Friendly and welcoming

Called in tonight, 2nd day of opening. Wow food was absolutely awesome. I had pork lion with cider gravy, highly recommended. Husband had steak cooked to perfection. Server's where lovely and friendly. Strongly recommended for decent home cooked food at brilliant prices. Can't wait to come back again.

Last minute tea stop

Came here for the EOTHO deal. Had a bad experience at a different establishment the previous week where we didn’t even get to our pre booked table but the Kings Head was the complete opposite! We were promptly seated by friendly staff, food was absolutely excellent and served quickly even though they were very busy. Will certainly be returning. Restaurant quality food in a lovely setting. Thank you to all the staff and the chefs - for a lovely, good value evening.

Excellent food and friendly staff

First trip out together since lockdown began for the hubby and I was a lunchtime visit to the King's Head for an anniversary meal. 

The restaurant was well laid out and very clean  service was very friendly and swift. Our meals arrived I  good time and were delicious.

On discovering it was our anniversary we were given a complimentary bottle of wine. Thank you, made our day.

Lovely lunchtime meal

Today I came for food with my friend and her 10 month year old. The staff were very welcoming and the food was tremendous! We both got the gammon steaks which came with homemade chips mushroom and tomato. We were served by Trevor and Karen who delivered great service and ensured the baby was equipt by carrying a high chair over. Very welcoming place and great food with a good price! Will 100% be returning. The pub adhered to all new guidelines ensuring plenty of hand sanitiser was provided and a stickers around the pub to organise the public entering and leaving to encourage a safe anti covid environment. We did not get the chance to try the new gin slishies. However, have heard gread things about them so will be getting one on our next visit😊😊

Called up spoke with young lady to book in for lunch no bother, I wanted treat my 3 friends the young lady called Charmaine settled us in came bak took drink orders, seen to everyone who sat down in the whole place but didn’t stop asking we ok for drinks ! then when we were ready to order one of us had scampi an she loved it, another had Belly pork she loved it then my friend an myself had sizzling steak on onions Charmaine helped us to decide! I can say my pal an myself are very picky but it was tastiest I’ve had in awhile We were so full couldn’t eat desert which was good ha then settled up Bill an when I have to say she is an asset to Hotel hope your Proud of her she was so on the job, Then we were leaving an Sun shining we had coffee Outside Trevor nice guy served us, Proper enjoyed we all said we’d be back.

We took advantage of the Meal Deal at lunch time which was great value and we each chose a different meal. All three delicious and generous portions too! 
We were made to feel very welcome by the attentive staff and Karen, who took our order and served us, was particularly friendly in a very respectful way and I very much appreciated her sense of humour even though some of her comments were very dryly directed at me in the nicest possible way!!!

Lunch with adult grandchildren!

Visited this pub today after reading the excellent  reviews and it certainly lived up to them. Staff were very welcoming  and very friendly . Great choice on menu and fantastic value. Food was of high quality and presented professionally. Nice relaxing pub with good parking facilities. Will certainly be returning at a future date . Highly recommend.
