Booked a double room as visiting local area for a family celebration. The Comat cancelled the booking with just a few weeks notice, leaving us with no accommodation and unable to find anything else at a suitable location and price. Avoid!

Untrustworthy

First time visiting the comet and it was a comfortable stay the bed was amazing and sleep really well. The bathroom looked like its just been built in and looked beautiful. The shower was amazing and has a shower head setting to how powerful you wanted it. The room was really clean. The breakfast in the morning was beautiful and well cooked. Thank you for the warm welcoming and comfortable safe place to sleep. I will definitely recommend this place to all friends and family xxx

Brake away

Great place to stay! , Just 2 min away from the seafront on a quiet side street , place was spotless and had everything you needed, breakfast was lovely as was the owner would not hesitate to go back!

We spent two nights here. 
The location for the sea is perfect, a short walk away.
We were met by the elderly owner and handed our key with the request to choose breakfast for the following day.
The B&B was very clean as was the room (4) .
Breakfast wasn't as I had expected. There were no yoghurts though the owner did offer to buy some, we said not to bother. She did in fact present us with yoghurts on the second morning. The choice of cereal is limited and the dispensers are awkward. I had the full breakfast without beans which came with a choice of white/brown toast. My wife opted for the croissants which were okay and was offered bacon as there was no fruit. Be specific in what you ask for. We asked for croissants and got one. On the second morning, I asked for two without a problem which was presented with bacon. The sausage was tasteless but the bacon was thick and tasty.
The only big negative is the parking - outside the house 1hr with no return in two between 8am and 6pm. There is a car park 50 yards away which is free between 6pm and 8am. For a day parking, it's currently £5.50 not bad for other local car parks.  The owner did say the traffic wardens rarely check the street but do you want to pay a hefty fine?
Definitely recommend it and will no doubt return when we visit my wife's friend again.

Nice place

We have just returned from our first (definitely not last) stay at The Comat.
On arrival we were greeted by the lovely and very welcoming landlady and shown to our ground floor room. 
The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and welcoming with a large en-suite bathroom.
On arrival,  we were asked to select our breakfast time and menu options for the following  morning which is a great idea as it means that your food is freshly cooked but without a long wait.
Everything is on the doorstep to the hotel. Beach, shops, pubs, restaurants and parking are a minute or so away.
We had a great nights sleep owing to the extremely comfortable bed complete with luxurious bedding.
The much anticipated Full English breakfast exceeded all expectations.  The food was fresh, hot, beautifully presented and there was plenty of it.
We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be returning guests

A little gem

Just had 2 nights bed and breakfast at the Comat, everything about this hotel is brillant, the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. the location of this hotel was just right, it was right in the middle of things. the room was large clean and airey, the whole trip was fantastic, thank you.

Fantastic

Stayed here on a Wednesday night with my partner for a quick get away night. The comet is located with a pay and display car park a few feet away, also is central to the main seafront front. We were made to feel really welcome on arrival like a home from home. The whole building was very clean, we stayed in the small double which had plenty of space for two people with a good dressing table and coffee facilities, the bathroom was very spacious with a good shower in. The next morning we had the full English breakfast which was excellent really tasty plenty of toast coffee and juice. Over all a really nice stop over would recommend and would re visit.

Just stayed in this lovely Bed and Breakfast in cleethorpes.....what an amazing little find and can't thank them enough. Nothing too much trouble and room spotless, parking in nearby car park and have to pay but that was made clear on booking.
A must visit...xx

Little gem

Delightful B&B, can highly recommend. Spotless, with a lovely bedroom which is in pristine condition. Spacious bathroom, clean towels every day.  Breakfast delicious with locally sourced products. Landlady Glenis made us feel very welcome & very friendly lady.  Our favourite B&B to date.  Well definitely come back.
