I ordered meals and asked for fresh fries with the order (previous poor experiences here at this same outlet), they arrived semi warm and all of the other food was stone cold. They replaced this with more cold food. I was ill for 2 days after eating here. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. 

Staff were atrocious, rude and did not care, it appeared that there were no adults supervising the youngsters that were working this particular shift. 

This is our future generation folks, hold tight!

There are plenty of other McDonald’s and fast food outlets in close quarters to this place, chance them instead of v&d.



Absolutely shocking, should carry a health warning

I have given this accommodation 5 stars as it did indeed fit our requirements as a group of 6 going out on new years for a seemingly unbeatable price. It worked out at 17 quid each and we basically had a whole house with large kitchen and conservatory to use at our pleasure. I have stayed here nearly two years ago and i can see that the house has had some wear and tear since then (possibly from big drunken groups like us) so will say that if you are a fussy person or a couple who likes the nicer things in life you should probably stay elsewhere. For example the milk sachets in our room were dated 08/18 and curdled in my tea. The room smelled funky and the toilet seat in the communal loo is broken (you get my jist) so if you are willing to over look these things and just want a place to crash and have fun in cardiff then this is for you.

Ideal stay for groups

Terrible hotel - AVOID!!Our room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke, the shower mat towel was soaking wet on arrival, the power shower did not provide hot water despite trying all settings for some time and there was no soap for washing. We were also disturbed several times in the night by a group of very loud drunk people who managed to lock themselves out of their room and spent a long time vomiting in the communal toilet adjacent to our room with the toilet door left open. There were no staff on site to which I could notify of the various issues.

To gain access there are numbered boxes with combination locks once you enter the code given the keys to your room and property are inside. We stayed in room 4 twin bed with private bathroom. There was   a wardrobe with extra pillows and blankets, tea and coffee facilities on a shelf, TV and hairdryer in bedside cabinet. There was a small window with pull down blackout blind. The bathroom had toilet, sink and small shower inside the door had small blind for privacy. Our room was next to the shared toilet so throughout the night you could hear people going in and out. The bedding was clean the accommodation was basic but for a night stay was fine and would definitely use again. The only problem we encountered was parking other guests had taken up alot of the space so we had to find a car space on a side street.

Isolated and shabby.  The check in was disorganised but at least the cleaner didn't mind us dropping our bags off before check in.  The property is not very nice and unwelcoming.  If I had known what it is like I would not have stayed.

The place would have been fine if it had heat, I slept all night with my jacket on because the radiator wasn't working. The curtains didn't close properly and the bath trim was falling off.

The pictures are so deceiving on the website for this “hotel”. The rooms look bright, spacious and up to date. Sadly, this is not the case once you’re in. 

There’s no sign outside the property to tell you where it is, and it’s basically just a house that’s been converted into rooms to let. We had room 5, which is technically a box. Once we got our suitcase in, there was barely enough room to manoeuvre around the bed, as there’s nowhere to store it. The only window in the room is in the “private bathroom” which is an ensuite shower and toilet built into the room. The “desk” advertised is just a shelf, which has a kettle and some coffee making facilities on it. However, they only leave you enough teabags, coffee and milk for 1 day, (we stayed for 3 nights), and they are not replaced as the cleaner doesn’t clean your room until you have left. 

No food is allowed in any of the bedrooms and any food consumed must be eaten in the conservatory downstairs. For a room without a window, the heating was on full blast, which we switched off in the end, as it was absolutely stifling. They left us just 3 towels for 2 adults for the whole duration of our stay and these are not replaced, so it’s fine if you don’t mind sharing or want dirty towels for 3 days. 

It advertises parking, but they don’t tell you that you must pre-book and then there is a £5 charge per day to park on the forecourt, so we had to park on the road, further down from the property. 

There is a tv in the room, but you can’t use it until 8.30am and then you are instructed to switch it off at 10.30pm, because of the other guests, so they are not disturbed. 

The “shower” is a dribble and there is mould growing on the walls in the bathroom, probably due to the lack of air in the room. 

Finally, if you don’t mind sharing a house and hearing every movement from your “neighbours” in the adjoining rooms, including coughing, creaky floorboards and other people using the shared bathroom, then this is the place for you. There’s no breakfast either as the place is totally unmanned, but you can’t use the kitchen to cook either, so good luck with that! A pure money making machine, with no consideration for the guests. Next time, we’ll be booking the Premier Inn!!!

Clean and tidy but flooring a little creaky when moving about

Booked for a couple of nights however left early due to the unsafe environment. Un manned and entry via a key safe. Doors have poxy locks and one door had obviously been kicked in. Don’t be fooled by the pictures on the website. Rooms are very small and communal spaces unclean. Obvious long term stayers at the property who were heavy drinkers and had no respect for other people. Shouting swearing and banging doors and throwing up all night. This was our reason for leaving early due to feeling unsafe. Please take your time to read all these reviews to realise the false advert and avoid this place.

False advertisement! Terrible stay,

The accommodation was a room in a shared house.It was ensure however the warm water in the shower didn’t work so couldn’t shower in the morning.Room was basic with double bed, tv and tea:coffee facilities.As it was a shared house there was a lot of noise from neighbouring guests.This is really basic accommodation and ok if you just need somewhere to crash.
