First time staying here, the staff are pleasant and the area the hotel is located in is lovely but the room we stayed in (room 11, the same as the other review!!) could have been cleaner, there was few cobwebs on the ceiling, marks on the walls and ceiling, headboard on bed was dirty, dent in wall near door, extractor fan in bathroom not working which meant the bathroom steamed up and made the room feel hot, red stain near toilet (looked like dried blood!?) and a stray hair belonging to some else found on the pillow!!

Could be cleaner!

This is our third time at this Premier Inn and have loved our previous stays but not this one.  We stayed in a family room number 11.  It had the most disgusting headboard that we didn't dare touch it.  The bathroom, the extractor fan didn't work and there was a red stain which was possibly blood behind the toilet.  The walls in the bathroom were very marked and the toilet was very stained in the bottom.  Dodgy mark on the toilet seat, which came off with a wipe!! The shower curtain smelt and the soap and shower dispensers were both rusty around the top.

Saving grace was a very comfy bed but everything was very worn or dirty.

Due to arriving late (around 11.00) after a night out in Bury and with a very tired child upon checking the beds were clean we just went to bed and couldn't wait to leave the next morning.

Not an enjoyable or restful night at all and has rather put us off staying at another one in the future.

Don't want to stay again

Clean, quiet rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this premier inn for the great location to the cathedral, gardens and the surrounding historic buildings. Will stay there again when we return to Bury St Edmunds.

Ideal location

Stayed here for 2 nights. The location was perfect and the car park was spot on. Room was clean and modern, just a few bits of paint needed touching up. Air con was OK. Had breakfast both mornings and the food was of a good standard. Chef cooked eggs to order, which was a nice touch. All in all, a good stay.

Good location, clean room and good food

This was a one night stop over on the way to Great Yarmouth and for £60 it was fabulous..just me and my daughters, loved it. Hotel was great, parking good, machine easy to use to add car, check in seamless and our room was lovely, big, clean, air con worked nice, we booked an evening meal, was lovely, attention to detail was great even in the kids meals, well worth the meal deal and having both kids eat breakfast free the next day. Breakfast was good, eggs cooked to order so a tiny wait but nothing to worry about, usual premier inn buffet.a short walk across the car park to the lovely town. 
All in all was lovely experience, Thankyou 😃

Just wonderful 🤩

There was no air con in the room instead they chose to give us a fan. The room was ridiculously hot and couldn’t sleep due to heat. No TV remote was in the room and had to go down 3 times to source one that worked or toilet roll on arrival having to go down yet again to get this.

A clean quiet hotel in the centre of Bury St Edmunds with loads of parking and a good sized, well equipped family room. The kids beds were a good size for our teenagers. Surpassed our expectations. Will book again.

Clean, comfortable family room

From the warm and friendly welcome to the comfortable bed, the hotel is perfectly situated in the town centre within easy, walking distance of the local sites and restaurants.  I’d had a car accident en route, and the gentleman at reception couldn’t have been more helpful, kind and caring.

The best Premier Inn, I have stayed in

Really well located Premier Inn close to all the attractions and amenities in the town centre.  The restaurant is fine for breakfast but is not really a place to dine in the evening.  That doesn't matter because there are great places to eat in town 10-15 minutes walk away.
Rooms would be much better if the windows open - air conditioning is wasteful, noisy and creates unpleasant icy drafts - I hate it!

Great location and parking facilities

Popped in for breakfast didn’t stay in the actual hotel  popped in at 915 and was seated by Katrina  who was a superb host for us very friendly and always happy to help no matter what the situation and happy to help as many people as possible whilst doing multiple jobs the continental and drinks were always full the time we was there while the chef Glenn cooked a superb breakfast everything was full, warm and fresh and also very delicious indeed and also very friendly and happy to talk superb value breakfast all you can eat cooked continental and drinks for £9.99 a person!! Can’t go wrong there will definitely be back thank you both for a superb breakfast and chat about the town centre etc
