Room hadn’t been hoovered, floor, bathroom and fixtures were dirty, 2 pillows with no pillowcases and had to ask twice for some, Wi-Fi didn’t work even after asking but was told it was probably due to virgin, with no attempt to resolve and breakfast was not good at all, undercooked items, “all you can eat” option is because they know you won’t come back for more ! wouldn’t stay again, such a shame as they used to be so good.

Quiet and comfortable stay

Pleasant greeting on arrival. You get a very basic room, but comfortable enough. It was a noisy room as we were overlooking main road and some guests were noisy.. which you can get in the best hotel to be fair. Mirror in room is on side of wall and needs to be moved to a more visible location. The whole hotel needs a good vacuum. Breakfast is good value  as is on- site parking.



Good value for a VERY basic hotel

This a good place to stay in Bristol - near the docks area with plenty of bars and restaurants a short walk away. There are plenty of lovely old buildings nearby, The hotel itself was very clean and my room was nice and comfortable. I would certainly book again if the need arose

Nice hotel, nice location

Booked 2 rooms for our family of 5 for Saturday night. Couldn’t check in on arrival at 11.30 am so went to Watch Bristol Bears v Bath. Absolutely livid that Travelodge think it’s ok to call us at 6.20 pm to cancel one of our rooms as they had over booked. Even though we had booked and paid for all this in November 23 and were part of a party of 46. 
The poor staff did finally find us a room in the hotel which had no guest key so a member of staff had to accompany us each time we wanted to go in our room. 
Not ideal. 
It’s a shame as the staff were friendly and polite but I certainly don’t rate Travelodge. 

Let down

Stayed one night whilst on a business training course held in the Marriott so the contrast didn't help. The location is great for access to the centre of Bristol although right next to a main road so a little noisy if your room is on that side.  Staff were very polite and professional. Food and drink selection was ok but lots of choice within a 5 min walk if you want variety. Parking is not well marked and everywhere in Bristol is expensive to park.Booked with VFM in mind. Got VFM. 

Typical Travelodge Value for Money

The hotel was decent - reception was clean and tidy. We found that there was plenty of parking though you do have to pay for it - not a big deal as we’d factor that in the cost. 

The reception team was nice and friendly enough. 
We had booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids.
Unfortunately the room we were initially given only had one double bed in it but that was easily remedied by the staff. 

Our actual room was set up fine but there was a really odd smell. We had to keep the window opened during the whole stay to keep it smelling fresh. 

The carpets had visible stains on them which was really disappointing 
The bathroom was clean to look at but there was a lot of dust and dirt behind the door. 
The bedding and mattress was comfortable and clean so that was a big plus. 

We also had breakfast included in the stay. 
It was adequate breakfast. There is a lot on offer so that’s good but it did not very high quality. However for the price - you can complain much. Breakfast finished at 10am which was good. 

I would recommend the hotel if you go in with little or no expectations and if you just need somewhere to sleep. If you are planning to spend some significant time in the hotel - then better to go elsewhere

Decent enough but wouldn’t stay again

We stayed for 1 night and found our room nicely refurbished, clean and comfortable, however the bathroom was a different matter, which was so disappointing. The washbasin plughole was full of fluff and was stained around it. The toilet seat was hanging off and had obviously not been checked. The toilet wasn’t clean either. The standard of the bathroom spoiled my view of the hotel, which is a shame, because everything else was excellent, including the breakfast we had in the morning. We did mention the state of the bathroom to reception when we left, so hopefully it was rectified.

Good value for money but unclean bathroom!

Booked in at the travel lodge Bristol amazing customer service from Anya and Marie . Clean and friendly hotel with on site parking. Will use again due to exceptional customer service

Amazing service and great hotel

A warm friendly welcome, with fantastic staff, Marie and Anya were exceptional, and the hotel checking in was so easy. Room clean and comfortable for an overnight stay for the theatre. Cannot wait to go back again. Fabulous
