I stayed for one night last night. The room was basic but had everything I needed. It was clean and I had a fan in there too.. I am not sure why the windows are screwed shut but with the noise coming from the cafe/bar down below. The noise would have been worse if I had been able to open it.
If you are a light sleeper then this wont be the place for you.

Overnight stay

If I could rate this property as a ZERO I would do. 
My friend and I, travelled 5 hours to get to Brighton for a nice weekend away. When we arrived at this dismal property, there was no reception area but there was two numbers to call. We phoned both numbers several times and left voice messages, to which we received no reply. In the end, we had to ring hostel world themselves and they couldn't get through. We were then told that they were NOT honouring our booking even though we'd paid the deposit and had confirmation. Then we were left stranded and had to drive another 5hours back home. 

I would not recommend this outrageous place to anyone.

Disgusting!!!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Only booked out of desperation as came for the Brighton marathon and all hotels fully booked. No hot water so cold shower. No sleep because of constant noise from the bar and road outside. “Beds”, mattresses stained. Had to sleep fully dressed on top as didn’t want to risk getting into bed. George Orwell’s ‘Down and Out in Paris” comes to mind. AVOID

Marathon weekend

This accommodation would not be out of place in a Dickens novel; it was terrible!
The steep staircase was dark and narrow and smelt of marijuana; the room was brown and Spartan, with two old, 2' 6" beds with creaky springs and crumpled duvet covers, one of which had something indeterminate stuck to its underside! There was no other furniture apart from an oil- filled radiator plugged into a socket. Although the handbasin and shower were clean, the toilet was not and had brown splatters up the back and sides! The windows were so filthy that it was virtually impossible to see the 'sea view' advertised, and lack of double glazing meant it was incredibly noisy, making it very difficult to sleep. There was a lump of something sticky on one of the curtains and the remains of possible vomit on the carpet. Over all, it was disgusting!
In addition to the poor state of the accommodation was the utter rudeness, arrogance and disrespect of the employee on Reception, who made no attempt to help when we tried to retrieve a charger accidentally left in the room. It was no longer there when we climbed up to check in the room but apparently the cleaner had not handed it in and could not be contacted; neither could the manager when we requested to speak to him. The man became thoroughly objectionable and  we were told in no uncertain terms that it was our fault for leaving it there in the first place! The whole experience was very disturbing.
If you want a comfortable night's sleep in Brighton, do NOT book into 'The Globe' because you certainly won't get it!

Disgusting!

We booked this last minute for a night out. It was quite cheap and right on brighton seafront and near all the clubs - cannot complain about the location. However, the rooms are nothing like the images on booking.com, bathroom was dirty and no towel provided and the room did not feel clean at all. Thankfully we were too drunk to properly inspect the place or spend much time as I dread to think what we would've found. My friends room had the door ripped off the wardrobe. If you won't be spending long in the room and want a good location and somewhere to stay this is a decent option.
