We were met by John on arrival who directed us to The Dairy where we were staying for three nights. The Dairy was well equiped, warm, clean and inviting and extremely comfortable and we enjoyed our three nights stay . On departure we chatted to John regarding our concern with there not being a  hand rail on the wall going down the five stairs leading to the bedroom, John said there had been discussions regarding putting one there. The cottage was a short walk to our vehicle but would be easier in order to transfer luggage to and from car if we could drive to front door to do so. We would definitely recommend staying at this delightful cottage to everyone. 



We were a large family group with dogs and Wyke Farm worked really well for us. The accommodation was flexible and very well decorated, with lots of space both indoors and outdoors. The kitchens were the best equipped we've ever had so we wanted for nothing.
The property is rural but very accessible to lots of local places to explore. However, on rainy days there was enough space and games to entertain us until the clouds lifted.
Kathryn was a great host, very friendly, amenable and helpful with suggestions of where to go and what to do.
We would definitely go back for a return visit.

A fabulous farm in wonderful countryside. The accommodation is top notch, nicely decorated with attention to detail. The bed was super comfy and the heating just right. John and Kathryn's renovation of all the buildings is sympathetic, tasteful but with comfort in mind. They are amazing hosts, have thought of everything and gave us lots of ideas of what to do and see.  There are great walks along the coast nearby (plenty of mud but Wyke Farm has a hose and brush to deal with that) and ancient pubs for a filling lunch afterwards. Strongly recommend this as a base to explore or to hole up in bad weather and enjoy the lovely interiors.

Wyke Farm is a fantastic place to stay. The accommodation is excellent, beautifully decorated and pristine. The layout is spacious and everything is catered for, from comfy beds to top quality appliances. The Whitakers are consummate hosts being great fun and nothing is too much trouble. The scenery is stunning and the location wonderfully relaxing and picturesque.
The whole weekend was amazing and I would strongly recommend this for a family holiday, a quiet getaway or a party.

I have stayed at Wyke Farm in Axminster twice. The location is fabulous. It’s rural but accessible. Rolling countryside views. Easy walks straight from the barn. Short trip to town, the pub, the beach. Kathryn and John are really friendly helpful hosts. Nice decor, and I’m fussy about that! Have booked again for later this year.

This was our second year running returning to The Shippon! It is perfect! Lovely living accommodation, comfy beds, very well equipped kitchen. Outside has plenty of space with spectacular views. 

So much to do locally, we never travelled far.

Spectacular open countryside views from stylishly appointed and scrupulously clean accommodation.  A well appointed kitchen and lovely spacious rooms.  Most precious of all privacy, and space. Friendly, respectful owners live on site in the main house and make sure you have everything you need for the most brilliant of holidays. The surrounding area is beautiful and easy 15min drive to the beach.

We had an amazing time at Wyke Farm.
Absolutely no covid fears as was spotlessly clean.
Accommodation was perfect for us, beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was amazingly well stocked, the living area was very comfortable.  The outside area was just perfect - bbq, tables, chairs, loungers, grassy area and views to die for!! 
The hosts could not have been more welcoming and accommodating.
Would highly recommend this fabulous accommodation in this idyllic spot of Devon.  So much to do just short journeys away.  Beautiful beaches and lovely walks.
We have stayed in many holiday let’s over the years but our whole group agreed this was the best ever.

15 of us stayed here for my 50th it was absolutely lovely everything is well thought out and plentiful, the design of the building is spacious yet cosy the people who own it are lovely . We had an amazing time here in fact it was Perfect ! Thank you
