Warm greetings on arrival and very helpful information about both the B&B and the local area.
Had a ground floor room which was spacious & warm. It was surprisingly quiet with being next to the road.
Good tea making facilities with biscuits, nicely done. The bathroom was a little tired but OK.
The breakfasts were superb. Overall an easy & relaxing stay, thank you.

Wasrm Welcome & A Great Stay

Nice room, with view on the inner courtyard.
Nice old property which provides on-site parking.
The owner is a friendly lady.
The cooked breakfast is quite nice.
Fresh fruit salad at breakfast bar.
Some of the fixtures in the bathroom need better fixing to the wall.
Location is about 5minutes drive from Axminster, which is not too far, but you need to take the car out to go dining.

Nice room & nice breakfast

My mother stayed here last weekend, as she was attending a nearby party.  She is a woman travelling on her own and had this to say.....Jenny the host was most helpful and kind.  The room was clean, with lots of facilities to make my stay comfortable.  Lots of choice for breakfast, and eggs cooked perfectly to my liking.  Would happily recommend.  Jenny also went above and beyond the call of duty, when she returned some items my mother had left behind.  She refused to take any payment to do this.  Thank you Jenny.

Excellent Stay

This place is fantastic
Tucked away near Axminster Owners are delightful.  The rooms are a good size and fully stocked with coffee, tea, snacks and free wifi.  Great place to stay if you want to visit the River Cottage.
Recommend the Mill house to stay if you are looking an absolutely brilliant English breakfast and a place to rest your head.

Autumn visit to the UK

A lovely location tucked away. Spacious bedroom with plenty of toiletries and tea/coffee.
Breakfast could be all you can eat, but we are small breakfast eaters, so cereal, toast and fruit with yoghurt was ideal for us.

Overnight stay

Felt relaxed from the moment we arrived, really comfy bed, lots of thoughtful little touches such as a communal fridge for milk, coffee pod machine in room and a great selection for breakfast with loads of fresh fruit. Jenny is a thoughtful and helpful host and makes you feel very welcome. There is a garden over the road where you can sit by the river and watch the wildlife. The road is reasonably busy, but the place still has a rural feel. I would highly recommend it and we hope to stay here again.

Delightful

This is a very special B&B great location coupled with an idilic location. The attention to detail and customer care is superb. The breakfast provided is both varied and of very good quality. 5 ***** owner/hostess thank you!

A class act!

Stayed here the night before a day at River Cottage. Arrived just after 9pm, Jenny was great and very welcoming. Took our breakfast order, showed us the room and how the coffee machine worked and then recommended which shops to find food so late on a Tuesday. The poached eggs on toast for breakfast were really great and the selection of teas/coffees fruit, cereal, spreads etc was great at breakfast.
Would strongly recommend in the area, only downside was we didn't have more time to go see the geese and walk around the area.

Wish we had longer

My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by the rooms and how spacious and comfortable they were. We were also impressed with Jenny’s hospitality and the breakfast was fantastic!! We would definitely recommend the place to our friends who intend to visit this part of UK. Thank you!

Trip to UK

Booked in here by the office and didn’t arrive for check in until gone 9pm.
Pleasant and attentive welcome, ground floor room large and very comfortable room. Good breakfast tailored to suit taste and needs. Would recommend and stay again.
