I stayed in mid August 2022 for one night. It has a classic but fancy interior and the breakfast is really good. I attached a photo of the dining area. It is close to the seaside and major points of interest.

Great location and friendly staff

This is THE place to stay in when visiting Ayvalık! Duygu, the owner, is one of the loveliest people you will meet. She will make you feel right at home and is a tourism professional with knowledge about all of the places worth visiting in the area. The place is itself is very welcoming and has lovely common spaces to meet and mingle with other travelers. For those who love history and architecture, the building once belonged to an elite individual in Ottoman times so you will also have the opportunity to stay in place with an aura. The location is perfect in one of Ayvalık's beautiful backstreets but right next to all of the places worth while visiting. In short, I could not recommend it any more! If you come to Ayvalık, contact Duygu and she will take care of the rest.

THE place to stay in Ayvalık

An amazing experience.  Wonderful and helpful hospitality.  Gracious surroundings and excellent value.  If driving a car, there's good parking available round the corner; access direct to hotel is best on foot.

A great stay

Bonjour pansyon has been one of my highlights of my trip. Managers have done all their best to help me and give me information. Their English are totally ok, I really don’t understand comments I could have read! The place is great and cosy, yes, you have to leave your shoes because this place is like home, and in Turkish house, no shoes. The breakfast is really good and homemade. I don’t know what people are expecting when they are going in an hotel, but if you are looking to a friendly, adorable and fair-priced place, bonjour pansiyon is the good spot!

Amazing stay!

I stayed this place in autumn. This pansion is old embassy building during ottoman empire.
very close citi center and old buildings of rum houses and famous ayvalik meyhanes (pub). Pansion owner miss Hatice and workers are very friendly. You must stay and enjoy

Nice otantic place

This place has a LOT of character. It's authentic, which can sometimes be code for rundown and dirty, but the owners do a great job maintaining the rooms and grounds.

Be prepared to go without shoes! They will give you slippers to wear around the house though.

SO CUTE!

The place gives you chance for an authentic stay. As a tour guide in turkey i have stayed in many different hotels but nothing feels that close to a homestay. The owner is a brilliant lady and she tries to help the people with everything about ayvalik. As I said it feels like a home and in our culture we take off shoes when we get to our homes. Dont get surprised if you are asked to take your shoes off in the place. I would highly recommend this place. 

Feeling priviliged for having stayed here

Fabulously gorgeous 300 year old mansion, former French Embassy with authentic antique furnishings and decor in high ceilinged spacious rooms, convenient shared bath, comfy common rooms.  Sumptuous breakfast buffet with local pastries, in sweet garden courtyard.  Gracious, smiling, welcoming host madonna matron here 23 years in her family home.

Bueno Bonjour Bonanza

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour. The hotel is easily walkable to the waterfront, shopping, banks, restaurants and more. Very much a vintage ‘boutique’ feel to the hotel with rooms large. Some rooms have AC (ours did not-room 6-and was uncomfortable to sleep as it was so hot in our room).
Shared WC- both with shower, but only one with a proper shower area.
Breakfast included on garden patio, which was lively. Fresh cucumber and tomato, olives, cheese, fruit preserves, egg, bread, crepes.
No in room safe or mini fridge.
Short distance to mosque, do call to prayer was quieter than in other hotels we’ve been in.
