Serene Gray B&B

We stayed there for only 1 night. It's a pity as we had quite a lot of fun. The B&B owner, Edwin, is so friendly and warm. He offered to pick us from Ludong train station. Once we reached his place, he was quick to offer us a special drink which he said is Yilan's speciality. He gave us a quick familiarisation and offered his suggestions on the places to visit. He was very earnest. He works very closely with a cabby who stays near his house. The husband and wife team standby to send his guests anywhere in Yilan and they runs by the meter. It works well with us as we are not worried that cabbies don't know the way to Serene Gray and they respond immediately to our calls. As for the surroundings of the B&B, for those who like peace and quiet, this house offers that. Edwin chose this location as they don't want to have noisy neighbors that may disturb his guests for vice versa. It is sandwiched by padi fields. Within the house, there is a little playground, bicycles and scooterbikes for the little ones. They have a nice collection of videos and CDs and they have wired movie stations too. The 3 of us totally enjoyed the bath tub and our bubble bathes. It is big enough for my little girl to swim in! Breakfast is another big highlight. Edwin's wife made homecook food for us. Together with the fruit juices and some kind of peanut drink (another Yilan's speciality), breakfast is simply wonderful!
