staffs are friendly, property a bit old though.price performance alright.

The whole building and the facilities are a bit old, but the room is still ok and comfortable. The room is neat and bigger than we thought, and it contains lots of indigenous characteristics. The breakfast is good! They have some indigenous food which is different from normal Taiwanese breakfast. The staffs are really nice and helpful. They helped us to refund one night due to typhoon so that we can leave before typhoon comes. The only thing I complain is the location. The resort locates near to the Taitung Forest Park. If you go inside, you need to pay for entrance fee, but there are not much to see. Other than the Forest Park, there are not many tourist spots nearby. The night market and main city centre require 15-20 mins walk. However, if you want to enjoy and nature and silence, this resort is perfect for you.

Ita Cultural Resort is absolutely amazing. From the lobby to the hotel room through to the wonderful breakfast served this place is just next level awesomeness. Plus, the Indigenous aspect of the resort makes this a must-stop destination while visiting Eastern Taiwan. I’ll definitely be back!

Hotel locates in a quiet area which make me and my friends feel comfortable. The staff are very helpful. The breakfast is nice . Will recommend to those who wants to have a relaxing time in taitung,

The place was very nicely decorated and very clean within the room.  Since we had young kids, we pushed the two beds together (one against the wall) and there were not one bit of garbage underneath.  Usually I don't like to walk on these location but Mata was spotless.  They included a semi buffet breakfast.  This place is great value for its money.  Would definitely consider to stay again.

The hotel is a little bit far away from Downtown.  However, it is possible to get around with public transportation.  There is a park across the street.  The 8101A took us to see the ocean and the 8168 took us to see the mountains.

I was very happy to stay in an aboriginal hotel.  It has an authentic feeling and was well situated next to a large park that goes right down to the Pacific Ocean’s edge.  The hotel is clean and the rooms well air conditioned.  When I was there in July 2019, the air conditioning for the public spaces of the hotel was broken, so I had to avoid the hot coffee at breakfast.  The breakfast is fine and the walk to the city centre is about 10-15 minutes.  Note that in high heat and humidity, this can be hot.  The hotel is also a quick taxi ride away from the ferry terminal and I highly recommend a day trip to ‘Green Island’ even if the boat trip can make you sick.  The island is very beautiful.

Authentic and beautiful indigenous interior design. Helpful and accommodating staff. Convenient location near the bus stop. We stayed in a spacious room furnished by two double beds, which was simple and comfy. The breakfast included was tasty and healthy. The only thing we found could be improved is dust and the cleaniness of windows. In general we had a great time staying here and would love to come again next time we visit Taichung!

Great Value for its money

The facade, wood sculptures and artifacts on display captured my attention and left a strong impression on me.  I like the fact Breakfast is prepared daily for me even though the menu is standard but the kitchen staff made an allowance for me which I greatly appreciated.  I also like the size of my room and the quiet surroundings though hotel is not located in the smack of the city centre but the hotel provides 3 hours of free use of its bicycles to guests.  If one wishes to use longer hours, then one could rent it from the shop next door at a mere cost of NT100/bike till 5pm per day.  The only thing that puzzled me was I'd some difficulty with my electronic room card key which I had to re-activate on a daily basis after my 2nd or 3rd day of stay.  One night I found a cockroach crawling in my toilet room and eventually I unknowingly stepped onto it whilst using the toilet.  The reception staff was extremely apologetic and asked if I would wish to change to another room.  I declined her kind intention as I was already comfortably settled into my room.  After that incident, no more cockroaches appeared!  The reception staff was also helpful in providing information especially when it comes to sightseeing, places to eat and places to shop.  Overall it was a good experience for me.

過街就是森林公園，清早散步慢跑都方便。因為近年全部粉刷整修過，房間寬敞乾淨舒適，到市中心覓食也是走路可及的距離，是高CP值的住宿選擇。
