The Drei Koenig is in the heart of Andermatt, with the balcony rooms at the side having views up towards the Oberalp pass and the Glacier Express train. In the summer, the historic Gotthard horse-drawn coach stops for refreshments right outside the hotel, making for a wonderful photo opportunity. My husband and I have stayed at the Drei Koenig many times, and this year we had the pleasure of introducing it to a group of our friends. We are all car enthusiasts who were touring the Alps. The staff could not have been more welcoming. They even reserved part of their sunny terrace for us so that we could meet for drinks when we arrived. There is ample parking. The restaurant is very good and the owner was so kind to accommodate our large group at very short notice when our booking at another hotel fell through.
