This place is located up a very steep hill that some tuktuks will not even go up! The staff here is very friendly and the breakfast they made was delicious! If you are looking for a low budget place this is where to go! The bedrooms are pretty drab but equipped with mosquito nets. Expect cold showers and lots of new bug to explore. We actually had a rat problem with some of my friends finding their food ripped into. The dogs that run around are actually the sweetest things, just wash your hands afterwards. This place was quite the experience.

It really is in the jungle

Nice hostel, it is located in a quite  beautiful leafy enviroment. Rooms are nice and clean. In the morning they serve a rich breakfast made of toast jam butter  omelette bananas tea and coffe. It is close the jungle beach and by walking 20 minutes in the jungle you can  also reach  unawatuna beach. Staff people are polite and help a lot.

Good place

The budget double room has a lot of concrete in it and the rooms are quite dark. Once I got used to it though, the room was clean and comfy and the bathroom was decent enough. I spent a lovely relaxing afternoon in the hammock in the garden.

However, the hostel is not that close to anything - jungle beach is about a 10 minute walk along the road, and then down quite a steep path. I was unable to find any restaurants and so had to take a tuk tuk round to the Unawatuna beach area (the cheapest I got it for was 300k but they often wanted to charge 500+, and more on the way back as the hostel is up a steep hill and so uses more petrol).

Whilst this is not really their fault because I arrived shortly after a heavy storm, but the wifi was down and not fixed until I was pretty much leaving (I stayed 2 nights, I'm not exactly sure how many days after the storm I arrived).

There are a number of dogs at the property. Cute enough, but they bark at everything at night which is quite noisy and can keep you awake/wake you up. The room can also be a little noisy if anyone is talking or doing anything outside as the room was not enclosed - bars at the top of the walls to let air in.

Good enough for the money if you are not bothered about amenities nearby and want a peaceful relax in a hammock!

Not very accessible 

This was one of the best budget place to spend the holiday in Unawatuna, Galle. We have traveled there on 29th of August and it was the off season. We were the only people for that night. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. 10 minutes walk to the Jungle beach. The place was very quite and very reasonable for the price. Had a good breakfast which are including bread, dhal curry and omelets.  

At that time they had a one carom board which is in very good condition. But we couldn't see any Xbox which they have mentioned in the description. All the bikes were in bad condition and we haven't try them out. Rooms and the bathrooms are very clean and nothing to complain about. We have traveled in our own cars and due to that we didn't face any travelling issues. But from the hostel it is pretty much far to the main road, Galle town and to the unawatuna beach. 

On the second day we went to the Unawatuna beach and our check out time was already passed out. But they have kind enough to give us some extra bed rooms to change our clothes and they have grant permission to use the bathrooms as well. I'm recommending this hostel to every traveler who are looking for budget hotels/ hostels and it is worth the every dime you spent.

Awesome Place

This place is situated 10mins walk away from the jungle beach.even though the rooms were not specious they were clean and the beds were comfortable.good place to stay if you are travelling with friends .staff was very helpful and the breakfast was really good
