This place is a little piece of heaven!
Just off the main shops and beach bars of Unawatuna you feel like you are in some lush Forrest of Sri Lanka. 
The pool and gardens are beautiful!
If you take an upstairs apartment you feel like you are in the tree tops, the monkeys, squirrels, birds, peacocks all come to visit.
Danu and his smile is so welcoming and nothing is to much trouble!
A must stay when Unawatuna!!

A piece of Heaven in the heart of Unawatuna!!

We had a great stay in the room upstairs with 2 big beds and our own large balcony. Outside bathroom was nice. Clean, Friendly staff, great swimming pool in lovely garden. Good location close to many restaurants. Good ayurvedic massages. And we saw monkeys and a peacock in the garden.  

Great family run hotel in central location. 

Lovely place . Just 300 meters to Unawatuna beach. Many Resturent and cafes around. Comfortable rooms with lovely architecture . Specially I like open bathroom (can see sky while showering ☺️)Big garden with monkeys, peacocks, squirrel, lizard and many birds home. Friendly owners. Always help us. Next time I will come to same place. Highly recommended.

Lovely place

The grounds and setting of this place are phenomenal. It is set among trees in a quiet courtyard with monkeys clambering around.
Rooms are huge and clean with large comfy beds. The open air bathrooms are a really great unique feature and the ground floors ones are planted as well which is gorgeous.

The family who run it are the loveliest people and so helpful.

The pool across the road is a really special extra. Come here at sunset for a relaxing dip among the palm trees

Amazing place to stay

Located in beautiful tropical gardens complete with visiting purple faced langur monkeys attracted by the mangoes and a chorus of bird song, just a short walk to the beach along the beach road where all the little shops and restaurants are. This is a great, convenient location with everything there is to offer on your doorstep.

The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean with an individual feel, complete with mosquito net over the bed, fan, aircon, fridge and wardrobe. Silva Rest has a boutique feel without any pretence or pricing. 

This is a lovely family run business. You will receive a very warm welcome from Krishan, his wife and the staff. We have stayed in Unawatuna 6 times now and without hesitation Silva Rest is our absolute favorite and will be back many times in the future.

Silva Rest .. an absolute gem in a perfect setting

This beautiful sanctuary just away from the hustle & bustle is set in a garden with pond surrounded by birds singing peacocks monkeys & water birds. Perfect location.
The rooms &bathrooms are huge & very clean. Felt very safe here. It’s only a few minutes stroll to beach. 

But the 5 star of this place is Chrisian the owner & his wife & beautiful new baby. 

He went above & beyond for us putting incense outside my door every night as the mosquitoes love me! He adjusted the mosquito net on bed! He also put a plug in the room to detract them.. He is the kindest person very friendly helping you with any request. The main reception is huge with beautiful furniture & spotlessly clean. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you are thinking about staying here just book it & the price is really good value for what you are getting.
If we ever return to Una we will be sure to go to Silva Rest without doubt.

very nice hotel, everything absolutly fine! Great breakfast, the staff is incredible friendly and attentive. Even though I was sick, it was a great time to stay there. Little cats are visiting the rooms in the evenings.

The place is perfect for vacation. It gives you the taste of Unawatuna.
Owners are very friendy and will take care of anything you need.
We had room with AC, but there are also rooms without. But I think all have fan in the ceiling.

Very nice hotel for vacation. Very friendly and helpful owners, they made our stay so comfortable and relaxing.  Rooms are clean and cozy.  Delicious breakfasts and close to hotel so many spots to buy different fresh fruits. Located 3 mins away from the main beach. Highly recommend Silva Rest :) Thank you for amazing vacation.

Great Place

The rooms seem to be new; they arr clean, spacious and in a great location. This is a family run place and the hosts are great. The package doesn't come with breakfast though there are lots of options around. The only downside is the wifi in the room isn't so great.
