I had a truly amazing stay at Jasmine Resort. I only stayed one night, but husband and wife Chameera & Nethmi went above and beyond for me. They were some of the kindest, warmest, and most welcoming people I have met on my travels and made my stay as beautiful and comfortable as possible. The room was clean & spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and it is only a 2 minute walk to the beach. The lush garden outside was also a delight. I highly recommend staying here if you're ever in Thalalla! Thank you, Chameera & Nethmi, for your hospitality and kindness.

As soon as I arrived I was brought a coconut to drink, a very good start to my stay. I stayed two nights in a room on the second floor. I loved the room, as although small, having an entire wall open to the garden made it seem spacious and bright. Everything about the room was clean and functional. Bathroom was a “wet room” but was a modern design. There was no kettle in the room, but the host made tea for me on request at no charge. The grounds are nicely landscaped and a number of bird species were frolicking in the trees throughout the daytime hours. It is just a three minute walk to Talalla beach, which is a very wide and long stretch of soft sand, and a very peaceful one at that. I found the restaurants on the beach to be predictably overpriced and unimaginative, and unfortunately beyond hotel restaurants there are very few options in this tiny village. The small family run restaurant next door to Jasmine Resort however serves good food and even made a special order dinner for me. Very kind of them to do that. But the greatest thing about this resort is the host. He struck me as a genuinely kind person whom I truly enjoyed chatting with and getting to know. All in all I felt that this was an excellent place to stay - very comfortable, relaxing, and right on price point. I hope to return one day for a longer stay.



Jasmin resort is the best place to stay at when in Tallala. I absolutely loved my stay here and could’ve stayed there for months. The owner Chameera is one of the nicest people I’ve met. Super friendly, very helpful and nice. He is always making sure that you’re having a good stay. The rooms are clean, modern and overlook a green garden and palm trees. The beds are very comfy and have a mosquito net. It has a very relaxed and chill vibe. I highly recommend staying there!

We enjoyed this beautiful place with Chameera and his uncle. Unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights as we already had booked a place closer to the beach. But even in this place the beach is in 2 minutes walking distance. We had an absolutely great waking up with the diversity of animals in his garden. Peacock, monitor lizards, a group of monkey runnig through the garden, parrots, „konda kurulas“, Mongoose, chip munks... 

A short but very lovely stay... I warmly recommend this place...

This is a really beautiful place with a lovely family! It is located in a small garden and next to a little restaurant.
The room is comfortable and nicely decorated with a directly view into the garden. It is very clean and tidy, there is a fan, mosquito net, warm shower, towels and they even supply a menu from which you can choose homemade food. It's just a 3 minutes walk to the beach. We would definitely stay there again!

Great guesthouse. Not much privacy as other guests and emplyees were looking up constantly - we felt a bit like monkeys in a cage. An idea could be to bring some green on the iron balcony. Otherwise lovely place with a lot of opportunities. Thanks for a great stay.

Chameera is an easygoing host who makes you feel welcome. The garden is beautiful with peacocks, lizards and a large variety of bird life and the occasional monkey. The room we had is well ventilated as there is no wall or window just a blind. Sounds odd but is great as it's cool even without the fan. Use the mosquito net and tuck it in, once we learned that we were little troubled by insects. Chameera and his uncle provide a nice breakfast and on one occasion picked a breadfruit from the garden and cooked it for us as we'd never tried it before. We stayed a week and would certainly go back.
