The other reviews will tell you what you need to know about the property. It is a relaxed, quiet place located directly on a nice beach. 

There is some noise due to dogs fighting at night but I'm not sure there is a place in Sri Lanka where you won't experience that.

As pointed out in another review there is a LOT of plastic strewn on the beach but as tourists, we are a huge part of the problem. I brought a small reusable bag with me and saved an entire trip's worth if single-use plastic bags from getting out of the shops. 

The best part of my stay was the dog they keep on the property. I spent part of the afternoon playing around with him on the beach. Walking back to the property after dark a dog from another property came after me and I had to use my bag to keep us separate. I probably would have been bitten without the bag. Who comes tearing down the laneway to my defence? The dog from Nilaveli. Enjoy your stay. Be nice to the dog.

Lovely spot on the. Most gorgeous section of beach.  Beautiful clear and warm water.  No rubbish and gorgeous placid beach dogs galore.  Also many beach cows!!  Who knew that was a thing!!  

Bungalow style rooms were lovely and clean.  Good bed and mosquito netting.  

Restaurant was lovely. Cooked us up a feast including the fish the men caught on their fishing trip. 

Lovely relaxing place to stay. 

Great beach side hotel 

This chalet was a really lovely surprise on Trincomalee beach. We were the only people staying so it was lovely and quiet and just on the beach where the hotel had placed privately owned sun chairs.

Rooms were very nice though we did have an issue with the aircon: to keep the room cool enough to sleep in (& we live in Malaysia so are used to heat) the aircon needed to stay on all night but the hotel only provided a very thin sheet for the bed. Actually this is the same problem we’ve had around the country which is a shame. We did wake up shivering in the middle of the night, then too hot when we turned the aircon off. But I would not let that put you off - I would absolutely stay here again.

We were really keen for a beach day so when we hot hungry and had swimmed for a good while in the sea, we headed left down the beach and just a few buildings down we found MeMo Cafe advertised as “Italian and Sri Lankan cuisine”. Well we went in and stayed for at least 4 hours. That place deserves a review all of its own (which it will get) and was just such a gorgeous little family-run place by a (I believe) Italian/ Sri Lankan couple in their 30s. Just bliss and great food.

Back to our hotel, we ordered dinner and were served it at the little table outside our chalet room - so perfect and a fab vegetarian Sri Lankan curry.

Breakfast was also nice.

Lovely beach-side chalet

Stayed here during our trip across Sri Lanka's eastern coast.  Couldn't have been a more PERFECT ESCAPE from the pace and congestion of Colombo.  Huge thanks to our hosts - a lovely couple who were warm, gracious and had some great recommendations for the remainder of our journey.  

PRO TIP: 
1. Whilst the hosts don't serve alcohol on the premises, they're perfectly fine for you to bring and consume your own. 

2. Ask about touring the nearby Pigeon Island (marine sanctuary) for the best snorkeling in the area

Peaceful beachside retreat

I just came back from a 10 days round trip in Sri Lanka. The palm beach hotel was my second accommodation. The staff was very nice and helpful. The dinner I had was lovely. The room was clean. Nothing to complain about. And the Beach was super close. For sure a place i would recommend. 

Nice place to stay at. Directly at the beach!

This was 3rd and longest stop of our 3week road trip in Sri Lanka, and had lot of expectations & plans on what we wanted to do. The Resort didn't disappoint us.

LOCATION is off the main road but directions given were so good, coupled with strategically placed Road Signboards we had no problem in driving right up to the hotel.
AMBIANCE of the place was very quiet & relaxing, plenty of open spaces, parking and a internal driveway which doubles up as a walking/jogging track too.

CHECK-IN was smooth and quick, maybe due to it being almost monsoon season and the resort not being crowded. Since there was 7 of us, we occupied 4Chalets.

ACCOMMODATION was in Individual Chalets of en-suite rooms with a sit-out/verandah with table and chairs for sitting out.
ROOMS were spacious, all our ones were furnished with a King-size bed & a Single bed, Aircon, Mini Fridge and the Shower Stall had an additional Hot Water shower too.
Linen was clean, Bed comfy with plenty of pillows and Mosquito Net. I still regret not using the later as I had apparently invited quite a few of these pesky insects by leaving my room door open during the day while sitting out.
RESTAURANT & SERVICE staff were always willing to oblige, discreet but attentive whenever we were there, Although not Michelin Star standards, were willing to prepare any special requests/dishes on request, FOOD was fresh and in adequate portions.

DRAWBACK for me was that this resort does not serve Alcohol, but luckily we were still having plenty of our Duty Free supplies which was handy. The Hotel has no objection to guests bringing their own booze and consuming it. Needless to say, the Mini Fridges in the rooms were fully stocked during our 7/8days stay.
Unable to comment on the WIFI(in Public Areas only) as I was using my own Mobile Data.
 
EXCURSIONS during the stay included Snorkeling in Pigeon Island, Whale watching, Visits to Koneswaram Temple, Trincomalee Fort and City, Pasikudah, etc.. which were organised thru' Mr.Jothi, the manager of the hotel. All these are covered in separate reviews elsewhere.

A BIG THANK YOU to Mr.Jothi & his team for humoring our whims and making our stay the highlight of our tour to Sri Lanka this time. 

Will definitely try to visit again when we come next time, but will be better prepared with Mosquito Repellents, and Proper Snorkeling/Diving gear so that we can make optimal use of the facilities available.

Beach Front Value for money Resort, pristine un-congested beach,clean&comfy chalets,good food, w/Driver accommodations

Negotiated with boatman S. Sundaram to take me fishing for a morning (as advertised on his card). I also spoke with the owner of the boat who WAS NOT some poor fisherman trying to make a bit extra. 14000 rupees. Just me. Just fishing. Or so I thought. Next morning two other folks were also on the boat who paid 10000 to go whale watching and who were as surprised and disappointed to see me with my fishing gear as I was them. We ended up doing neither thing very well. We had both been deceived. I should probably have refused to go. So the lesson is to expect such things and be absolute clear about what you are getting.
