Very nice accommodation right on the beach, just a short distance from the airport. The very kind host responded immediately and accommodated us even in the middle of the night. The rooms are nice and well-cleaned. All of this at a very good price. In the morning, you will be treated to an excellent and hearty breakfast, and a friendly conversation will kick-start your day 😍 When I forgot my credit card in the room, he got on a scooter and caught up with my tuk-tuk on the way to the airport to return it to me 😳 Thank you so much, and I'll definitely be back soon! ♥️

Very nice accommodation right on the beach, just a short distance from the airport. Very kind host and hearty breakfast!

Stayed for 4 nights, it is right next to a beach, located within the fishing community. The locals tend to dirty the beach. Patrick, who runs the place and his family clean the beach in front every morning so once can relax at the beach. The waters are barely 20 steps from the hotel. The place is a little secluded so once needs to walk some or travel by tuktuk to market and restaurants. The family running the place are very polite and helpful and catered to our every need. Beautiful sunset views every evening and having breakfasts while watching the waves and the fishing boats made the stay worthwhile. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Entire place is on ground floor.Wifi was available free.

Good place to stay next to beach

Great value budget beach view room in a quiet back lanes location convenient to the airport.  Helpful service, serviceable breakfast and a couple of nice bar restaurants a short walk up the beach.  Recommended.



Great value budget beach view room

We arrived at Anicia Beach House at 3 am in, what seems to be, a remote alley. However, you’ll wake up in a very lively neighbourhood where everyone greets you with a smile.
The host was still awake to welcome us that late, that’s exactly what it’s like at Anicia. The couple is ready to help you whenever you need it with a nice 24/h service. The rooms were basic but fine, including a good shower. The beach is a little polluted, but a nice place to sit on a chair and read a book or play some cards along with a beer. You can have a basic breakfast for 450RPS at Anicia, or choose to walk 20 minutes/take a TukTuk (+- 200RPS) and eat in the centre. Many thanks.

Nice place to acclimatise

Room correct but far from any restaurant. Beach around rather dirty. Poor service. Any service provided by the hotel is expensive compared to other places.                             
Advisable for backpackers . See view room not really worthwhile, a small window only. Difference in price not jus

Insects in the one bed.

Only 2 rooms with aircon. Rest of the house is very humid and warm

Dirty entrance 

Damp and humid smell in the house.

We ended up paying and not sleeping the night. Owner insisted that we pay the full amount even though we showed them the insects in the bed.

Insects in bed! & Dodgy location!

Close to the airport, we stayed 2 nights the owner was great, helped us out with ongoing journey and was generally very friendly. Right on the beach, can hear the waves crashing. Would recommend as a stop before exploring the rest of Sri Lanka.
