Leopard Corridor - Yala

Leopard Corridor is Sri Lanka’s gem! You are immersed in nature and wildlife with all the luxury of a high end resort. The rooms are very well decorated, spacious and well ventilated. The property is peaceful and beautifully filled with trees and birds and you can encounter elephants right outside its gates. It is also 5 minutes walk to a beautiful immense beach with unique colours of the sand ranging from beige to red and violet, great rock formations and sand dunes. Asanka is an amazing host, very interesting to talk to as he knows everything about plants and wildlife and the same holds for the manager Sudesh and his assistant Mentis! They are very kind, fun and always ready to help. Sudesh knows the area like the palm of his hands and can bring you on amazing tours. They are also great chefs, cooking delicious healthy food with ingredients from the property. We took a Safari with their safari guide MARI, who is a very experienced and fun guide. We saw plenty of elephants, buffalos, deers, peacocks, crocodiles, many many birds and two leopards. Mari has a great eye and can spot anything miles away. He can even smell when the elephant is near and brought us on empty paths, we almost did not see any other jeep! 100% recommended. It was our best stay in Sri Lanka and we can’t wait to be back!
