It was a quick drive from Colombo to Habarana. So many places to visit, from Dambulla Rock Temple, Sigiriya, Pidurangala Rock, Minneriya National Park, Eco Park and Kaudulla National Park.

My family and I stayed at Kamatha Eco Lodge for 4 days. The Eco Lodge was very comfortable. The food was Authentic Sri Lankan Cuisine and the Lodge gave us a whole Village experience. The food was excellent and tasty. The staff is very helpful, attentive and friendly.

Our Safari to Eco Park and Kaudulla National Park was super exciting. We were privileged to see more than 200 elephants gather in the month of August. The Safari Guide (Mr. Warner Oorloff) was very professional.

Our experience everyday was definitely a different experience at Kamatha Eco Lodge. This is a Must Do Trip In Sri Lanka.

Best place to be in Habarana.

When you live in the city it's all a rat race, but when you go out of the city and when you are with nature that's what life is worth living for. 
"Kamatha" is a wonderful place where you won't feel the day go by. Every minute every hour it's a diffrrent vibe & different adventure. If you are a nature lover or a person who likes to go off the edge this is the place for you. 
Me and my family spent a weekend in Kamatha and it was the best weekend ever. Waner, the guy who accompanied us for Nature walk, cycling and kayaking. If you like to live on the edge, off roading with him will give you the best experience that you will never forget.

"Out of the besey life"

Kamatha Eco Lodge is the best place to go if you are an adventure seeker, and the property owner Waner, will make sure that you will have your adrenaline pumping on the off road safari. It's a truly amazing experience, not only the staff was super helpful but also the food,the lodging was just perfect. Warner was a super host and had a lot of knowledge about nature and wildlife. I would definitely recommend Kamatha to anyone who is looking for an authentic Sri Lankan vacation, and will surely visit again!

The best Of road experience!!!

During a tour of Sri Lanka with 'Best of Lanka' we were taken on a "jeep" ride with Warner as our driver and guide. The tour included lots of information about the local way of life, farming and cultural practices. The beautiful Sigiriya region was explored and the rock fortress viewed from every angle providing endless photo opportunities of stunning landscape and wildlife.  After the drive we were provided with a range of delicious local foods and curry cooked on a traditional wood fired stove.

We went there with oir jeep club friends for an event. This is a super place for offroad lovers. We got superb experience and staff is very very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for eco tours and off road tours.

Super place for off road lovers

Guided around Hababara area through heritage, religious and reserve sites. Elephants in Minneeriya wonderful. Owner Warner very knowledgeable with not only Sri Lanka’s history but an amazing bird guide. Polite thoughtful and helpful.

At Kamatha you spend a truly Sri Lankan way of life. The food cooked by an ammay is very authentic and delicious. Warner makes sure you have the time of your life time. The highlight is the 4x4 mud Safari. if you are ever in Habarana a must do. His knowledge of Minneriya park takes you off road inside the park which makes it like no other Safari I have been in Sri Lanka. Truly Sri Lankan hospitality.

One of a kind

Very impressed with the lodge. Beautifully kept. In a great setting to go for walks and of course a jungle bike ride! Warner and other staff so so helpful and welcoming. Our room was great se back on it's own in jungle type setting, safaris are available but we had a,ready done this. felt totally relaxed here. Defo recommend

Beautiful!

The lodge is really beautiful, very charming and built with much style in a traditional sri lankese way, which makes it really unique ! 
The room is spacious, well-furnished and has a very beautiful bathroom as well as a lovely terrasse in the forest where you can enjoy nature and rest among the birds, butterflies... 
The owner, Warner, and his staff are very nice and friendly. Warner is a passionate man who is extremely accommodating and helpful. He does his best to make you enjoy your stay, for example he took us on a walking tour in the jungle. 
We went on an elephant safari with Warner and he made it just perfect : he took us at the right places at the right moments for us to see elephants from very close ! You can sense his professionalism there, he is a very good driver. I highly recommend going on a safari with him ! 
The food was delicious, very well cooked by a nice woman of the village. She prepared tasty traditional sri lankese meals. 
The terrasse where you have your meals is a very cosy place where you can play games or just rest.

I highly recommend this unique place

It has taken two years to plan and in April my dream came to past. The 170 children from all over Sri Lanka where amazing, they absolutely loved the camp site, food and the activities.
It has two large oval buildings one used breakfast, lunch and dinner and the other for our general meetings.
Also have two rooms with AC for visits and a few large dormitories for the boys and girls.  
This was my first time at this location and wow I would definitely organize another camp here.
