Stayed here based on the recommendation of my guide. The hotel has a wonderful location that is perfect for strolling around the fort. The price point, however, was a bit steep for the offerings. 

The family running the b&b is exceptionally friendly. I tried to buy something in their store at checkout and they just gave it to me. 

The room itself was lacking. There was no bottle of water provided (necessary for brushing teeth), but they did give one at breakfast the next day. The room was a bit musty and there were ants in the bathroom sink. There was only one single plug-in and I had to unplug the fridge in order to use it for charging my devices. 

The bed was comfortable; however, only a thin top sheet is provided. The issue with this is that the AC basically runs 24/7. If you turn it off, then the room gets way too warm. So I was waking up throughout the night freezing cold. 

The bathroom was a wet bathroom. The water pressure was very good and it was nice and hot. Perfect! Towels were soft. They provide shampoo and body wash (body wash had a weird smell though). No bar of soap to wash your hands. 

The wifi worked exceptionally well (Best in Sri Lanka). There was no TV. 

The room needed to be about $20 USD cheaper for what was offered, but I think staying in the fort is just pricier.

Wonderful family, good location, but the rooms are lacking for the price

We stayed here for 2 nights before our journey back to London.  Fantastic location - view superb from the roof garden on the top of the building.  Lovely couple run this very nice place.  Superb breakfast.

Wonderful People

Location: right on fort near lighthouse, although next to Mosque (wakes you up at 5am from prayers)
Rooms: We stayed in a double room and found the place under-average compared to the other 9 rooms we had on our Sri Lanka trip. We were not happy with the choice since it took us $58, but this place is worth only half of it. Rooms should be clean, cozy and comfortable (at least the fotos looked like it), if you pay this much. 
The bnb is definitely sold to tourists by the great rooftop views as booking and tripadvisor show, but the rooms remain in an under-average level.

If the rooms won't change, this bnb will not be a success...

Positive aspect is definitely a very friendly lady at the reception.

Perfect spot with a rooftop inside the fort. Amazing views. Delicious breakfast on the rooftop. Lovely family. Caring and honest. Helped with everything we needed. Air con was great. Delicious ice cream next door.

Sega BnB is one of the best hotels in Galle Dutch fort. Very nice view of the rooftop, you can see the Indian Ocean, Fort area as well as the mountain Bonavista. They are providing a very healthy mouthwatering Breakfast for the visitors and you can have it up on the rooftop terrace with the sea breeze.

One of the best in Galle Fort

Nice place in the heart of galle! Lovely family lives there; they own a shop/gallery with souvenirs. They are very hospitable and did everything to make our stay a good one. 
The rooms are simple but with high quality beds, very clean and our room had good AC. 
Good breakfast on the roof terrace with nice views. 
We would definetely come back to Sega BnB. 


Lovely place and very friendly hosts

- lovely room, all what you need is there
- beds are huge and great
- breakfasts are OK, not special, just fine, but the views are great
- location is fine, only if you do not like to be woken up early by the nearby Mosque, you might want to check somewhere else.
