Pawana Rest

went here with my friend after experiencing a terrible "white only stay" thing. This place was just amazing with nice people, felt like I visited my relation's home. Nice surroundings to have breakfast. The rooms were spacious and clean. The owner, his wife and his son were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Comfortable guest house run by a very nice family. 

The breakfasts were very good, some of the best food we have had in Sri Lanka. We really enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to come back. The owners were very helpful and made sure we had a good stay 

The family who owned the house is very good. The younger one of the two kids ( Nimish) speaks English and is very enterprising. The rooms and bathroom are clean and well managed. Wifi is good. The house is surrounded by greenery. The access to the road is easy. 

We had a very good stay at Pawana Rest. You can easily walk to main road, but it is far enough off the main road so it is quit and peaceful. The facilities are very clean and our bed was very  comfortable. Our room had a ceiling fan for those more tolerant of the heat, but we took advantage of option to have air conditioning (was quite warm during our visit). The breakfast was also very good. 
The owners also helped us arrange transportation to local attractions 
In summary, this was an extremely good value place for us and we would highly recommend it as a base for your visit to Dambulla. 

We were supposed to stay just one night at this place but we loved the family and we extended for one more night ! 
Breakfast is include and it’s really good ! 
The family is really helpful and they give you all the informations you need to have a nice day around ! 
The boy is speaking a very good English!!
They were really kind , and it was a pleasure to stay at their place ! 
Beds are really confortable , the house is really clean and the prices are not expensive ! 
No excuse, you have to stop there !!!!

Very nice room. cozy and comfy. It is very quiet and very clean. Good breakfast.
The family is very nice and it is in a good location. We enjoyed our two nights stay. it is good to calm down and to relax.

Love the location and how clean the home and rooms were kept, the beds also were made every day!.. Easy to get to all the sight seeing, the bus terminal, restaurants, and banks. Also great location as its tucked away from the main road so there is no noise from all the traffic. The biggest thing that we loved was the family that runs pawana, they are so flexible, helpful and honest I wanted to stay at their home forever. They make great breakfast and arranging a breakfast time was no problem. They helped us in detail with our itinerary, laundry and even drove us to the bus stop at the end in their tuktuk! Would come back to Sri lanka just to visit this family.

Lovely family run guesthouse, simple, very clean and great value. Just a ten minute walk from the where the bus drops you off in town. The parents don't speak much English but their sons are very helpful and communication is not a issue at all. They were so helpful helping us to rent a moto and also a jeep to go to Kaudulla National Park and Polonnawura, even though we were being quite indecisive. Breakfast was simple but still delicious as were the two dinners we had there. Highly recommended!
