We stayed here in our motorhome for six nights in Jan 24. It is located high up in the hills and very peaceful. The views and photo opportunities are everywhere. There are plenty of walks and hikes nearby depending on your fitness level. The local village is a 20 minute walk on hilly footpaths. There are a couple of nice cafes, where the food and service were good. The site is well organised and maintained. The staff were very helpful even organising a return taxi to Granada for four adults and three dogs. €25 each way. The site is not cheap for a good pitch at the top of the site. We would visit again.

Peaceful stay in the mountains.

Regular - and very cheap - bus service from campsite gate direct into Granada was a real bonus! Takes about 35 minutes and costs €1.55 each. Good restaurant with a lovely open fire which was very welcome as we had rain and hailstones during our January visit. Heated shower area also great. Friendly staff. Handy little shop with fresh bread and too tempting croissants!

Great site on bus route to Granada

This place is amazing.  We stayed in a teepee type tent with a bed and bedding (amazingly comfy), a heater, a fridge, a rail for your clothers with hangers.  Ouside the tent we had a table and lights.  There are electricity  plug sockets outside and in.  The site itself is beautiful.  20 minutes walk from Güejar Sierra - a beautiful little village with bars, etc.  I cannot recommend this place enough and if star gazing is your thing - you will be blown away when night time arrives.  

Glamping under the stars

A popular campsite with plenty of varied pitches. We turned up on spec late one evening and were happily accommodated. The reception team were super friendly and also run the well-stocked supermarket alongside (which mercifully sold camping gas so the tea didn't run out). Bathrooms were kept spotlessly clean and hot water was plentiful. Loved the hand-painted Micky Mouse characters on the lower kids' sinks. 

The restaurant specialises in grilled meat, and can recommend. In November it was too cold to try to the pool, but we enjoyed a great hike in Vereda de la Estrella nearby. There'd be plenty to entertain mixed groups - onsite activities, cycling, trips into Granada and hikes of varying difficulty. 

A well-located year-round campsite

Highly recommend.  Fab location for the mountains and Granada.  Pitches are fine.  Facilities good. Excellent supermarket. Bus to Granada 35 minutes literally door to door.  Can walk up the Sierra Nevada from the campsite.  Little expensive but the longer you stay the cheaper it gets

Beautiful setting in the Sierra Nevada mountains overlooking a reservoir and views of snow capped mountains. Easy 20 minute drive down the Granada Alhambra car park.  Site friendly and welcoming. Restaurant always full of local diners at weekends so booking a must.  Showers a little dated but lots of hot water.

Great site fir a visit to Gransda

This is our 2nd visit, we’ve travelled Spain during the winters for the last 3 years, this is the only site we have returned too. The guys and girls are friendly and helpful  in reception as are the grounds staff. The facilities are great, showers hot and clean. We visited the restaurant a few times and had great meals, although the dinning room was a little chilly. There are so many walks and bike rides in the area, they will give this info at reception. There is also a regular bus service to Granada for 1.55e outside site. We will definitely be back as there is more riding and walking to do. Thanks los lomas for an awesome stay from lifewithaview 🤩

Love this little gem in the mountains

Lovely site right in the mountains outside Granada.  Apparently there is a bus from the site to Granada, but we found that parking at the Alhambra was easy and there were no height restrictions.
The site itself had great facilities and amazing views of the lake/mountains. 
Not many people were brave enough to stay here in January as it was sub-zero at night, but we coped fine, and the showers were in a heated area, so very enjoyable.  
We want to come back in warmer weather so we can make the most of the pool, minigolf etc.
Pitches were big and lots of vegetation between them. 


Wonderful location and great facilities

Camp doesn't have any mistake. Everything there is clean, stuff very friendly, there is a separate bathroom for babies that we really enjoyed,nature around is beautiful, just one thing. The route there is very steep for bikepackers 😂

Good to be here

Nicely situated with lovely views of Reservoir & mountains. Able to pick pitch which were nicely separated with hedges. Lots of shade nice pool very shady but no sun beds. Fresh bread available to order each day. Staff speak good English & very helpful.
