The hostal is clearly set up for the massive influx of people who come for the annual religious festival. Outside of that time very quiet and rather spooky. Endless empty corridors leading to spartan and dated but functional rooms. There is no service as such. Collect the key from a booth a cross the road. On site reception is not necessarily connected to the person who has rented you your room. It's very cheap so the value stacks up. Don't expect anywhere to be much better in El Rocio. The town itself is bizarre. For us that was in a good way. We walked the sandy, horse trodden streets in wonder. Watched a magnificent range of exotic birds on the lake (bring binoculars if you like that sort of thing). We took a private jeep trip into the national park early in the morning. All in all a strange but wonderful experience.

Anyone seen Cowboys v Aliens?

In the Rocío there was the largest common airplane colony in all of Andalusia, a true gem and a singularity, when spring came it was a sight to behold, more than 3000 birds (of this endangered species) were born each year and this colony. With about 500 nests. The building officials have destroyed all of them because they molested them. And above the façade (which was very pretty) is now adorned with pinches so that insectivorous birds cannot rebuild their nests. The image that this hotel gives in a privileged nature site, with the façade full of pinches is unfortunate.

Poor taste, great environmental impact

For many years the façade of this building has housed El Rocío's largest colony of common planes (migrant, insectivorous and precious birds) until this year, when they decided to remove all the nests and place pinchos to prevent them from nesting there again.

Environmental assault in the middle of Doñana

Great Hotel very well located in an unforgettable town. Reminds of past classy hotels of golden days. Very clean and spacious with all you need, including a fridge. Easy to park your car nearby. Elevator.

Great hotel in a wonderful paradise

At the entrance of the Rocio, the reception is outside the hotel across the street. There is no wifi. The hotel combined with private apartments is very old. The building and facilities, including the entrance door to the room, offer no security. Everything is very old and very current, furniture, facilities, bathroom, etc. I don't know how the rest of the hotels in El Rocio will be, but this one doesn't match the photos on the web.

Very old and outdated.

Good quality price ratio. 50 euros per night. Small room but with the necessities. If you only use the hotel to sleep and leave things. Small beds and a small TV. But it has a refrigerator, bathroom and windows open to an interior patio. It has a table with chairs in the room, in the form of a small dining room. It looks old, but the front façade is pretty, and reminds of a courtyard or andalusian hacienda. Quiet and with a parking lot. No dan breakfasts. There is a café right at the exit that opens early.

Good for spending the night.

5 days with my boy, my mother and our two dogs. A triple room, with private bathroom and balcony. A large closet, a dining table and a desk. With television, a small refrigerator and air conditioning. Very spacious and clean. A very well cleaned and quiet hotel. To improve, put some microwaves at the disposal of customers. Very recommended.

Perfect for walking with dogs and quiet.

We rented a great apartment in which we stayed 7 people. it had two bathrooms and three separate rooms very well decorated. very bright and close to everything in the Rocío. we will return.

After having hired more than 35 rooms, in the afternoon he had to use a bathroom and the receptionist's impresentable (24/09/17 at 16:20) ME HAVE BORN. After discussing for a moment I had to move elsewhere.

Shameful attention.

This was a big hotel but clearly quite old. Also our visit was during off-season as there were almost no other guests. The two receptionists were friendly but not beyond their duty. Neither spoke english either but that wasn't really an issue as my spanish is good enough. Overall everything was ok, clean and basic.
