Property was more "rustic" and more geared towards Afrikaner couples than i was expecting. Food was "home style", basic but good.Property just wasn't a good fit for me.

A real friendly welcome when we arrived at the Crocodile Bridge Lodge was followed by a delicious dinner and informal chatting with other guests. The staff were and consistently provided delicious food at dinner and breakfast time. The location is amazing for seeing wildlife across the river and I to the park. It is a delight to stay at such a grounded non pretentious well run lodge.

Great Lodge Great food Great location..

This review is relatively objective - I’ve been visiting safari lodges/camps on and off  since the 1970’s! Also have undertaken 17 annual road trips in SA this time visiting 18 properties over a 43 day period.

Easily found with secure parking. Great location just short of the entry bridge to the Kruger.

I stayed 3 nights solo in March.

Friendly, efficient staff throughout. As I was driving into the park on a peak day, staff kindly organised a timed entry reservation for me. Owners live on site/engage with guests and are hands on - so standards are maintained.

A permanent tented lodge right on the banks of the river - perfect location without being actually inside the park.

The well maintained tents are large enough, clean, comfortable and well equipped  with full shower/toilet facilities and a deck overlooking the river. Some are closer to the permanent dining area and lapa than others. A good standard at the price charged.

Honesty bar in the dining area where a good cooked to order breakfast was served and a buffet style dinner - which was excellent on all 3 nights. Lunch isn’t served, so if you are intending staying in for lunch bring it in from nearby Komantipoort. There is no objection to bring in your own booze. Evenings after the buffet dinner could be spent around the fire pit talking to fellow guests or just simply ‘chilling’.

I spent one full day in the park and one just lazing around - some animal movement on the opposite river bank, including a lioness. Hippos spotted in the river. Plenty of bird life in the property.

WiFi decent enough, although my tents was the furthest from the main building and coverage didn’t extend to there - not a problem for me.

A perfect base for exploring the southern Kruger without staying at a SanParks property.

Excellent place to stay, Staff were very Knowledgeable friendly and helpful.
The Food was delicious, and plentiful. 
There were some animals that came close to the fenced off area in front of the Units and viewing deck.
the Hot Water in the shower was not great.

Short Stay at Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge

Had a lovely stay at this property - nothing is too much, hosts very friendly and knowledgeable. Accommodation and facilities were above expectations and the location was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

Our second visit to Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge and just as enjoyable as the first. The whole team, from the owners down, provide an unforgettable experience in this small piece of South African paradise. The lodge is feels like home in the best possible way. We will definitely be back.

Not to be missed

Our third stay at the lodge. It remains to us a wonderful "stopover" when we visit the Kruger Park. A few hundred meters from Crocodile bridge gate with real tented camp facilities on the water looking into the Kruger. Many wildlife sightings from our tent veranda! Great friendly staff with special mention of Geyer and Natascha, our hosts for the 4 nights. Well done! Every evenings' meal was wonderfully varied and delicious

Another great stay!

This is the best place I have ever stayed on a all nature trip The cabin tent was so cool to stay in. The staff was the best and food was unbelievable and so good. Got to see the animals in the evening on the property Please make it your next stay!!

We have been coming to SA for years, always staying in the rest camps.  Selected this option based on TA reviews and a couple we met a few years back.  Bruce and his wife Elsa are managers and they totally make the camp experience.  Very attentive to their guests.  Very inclusive making sure everyone is happy and comfortable.  Interesting background and conversationalists.  I would pay to stay there just for the history lesson of SA. In my opinion, tents are the only way to go.  They do have a few chalets with Air Conditioning if that is important.  Nice small infinity like pool overlooking the Crocodile River.  We saw elephants crossing the river, of course many hippos, and a variety of general game right from our front porch. Location is 3 minute drive across the river on a bridge to Kruger National Park.  Food was very good and plentiful.  We really enjoyed our two night stay there.  Highly recommended and will return and stay longer.  Good base in the south end of the park for game.  Honor bar I stocked at reasonable prices, but only 10k to Komatipoort for more selection.
