Very comfortable stay. Lovely sized rooms. Clean and quiet.  Recommend for adults.  Great position close to restaurants and pubs.  Very good breakfast and friendly staff. Instant coffee and tea in the rooms with proper coffee at breakfast. Highly recommend and will stay again. 

Superb guest house

On first appearance the guest house looked lovely but we did find it rather tired. The internet was extremely poor, the shower stopped and wouldn’t start again, breakfast staff took our breakfast to another table and brought toast which we were already eating (for another table). The toilet and wash basin had seen better days too
The Manageress seemed as though it was a pain to be showing us round. 
Won’t bother returning. 

Had much better

The Guesthouse is amazing!!! Staff friendly and owner showed me round on arrival. The room is huge, much more than I expected for the price. Nice pool area and communal balcony nmand terrace view ocean views, perfect for whale watching. Had all the amenities I needed, stocked mini fridge,  towel, sunbed towel, robes, toiletries, TV, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities.  Huge big bathroom, with room right next to the pool. Absolutely cannot fault.  Bags carried in/out for me as well. Would definitely recommend and would rebook of back in the area.

Very friendly welcome from Bronwyn, Room was very spacious and comfortable. Great location in Hermanus 1 min to the coast and 10 mins walk to the centre. Breakfast was good. Lovely communal lounge overlooking the sea. Pool available but as it was early Spring not brave enough to try out !

Excellent place to stay in Hermanus

Pelagus is a beautiful guest house, with an ocean view, comfy common areas, and a beautiful pool and jacuzzi (that we sadly didn’t get to use because it was cold). The rooms are clean and spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The location is great - you can walk out the back gate and enjoy a picturesque walk along the seaside cliffs to the Old Harbor where the shops and restaurants are. Nadia was warm and welcoming and gave us tips for our stay in Hermanus. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful guest house in a great location for an attractive price!

The Pelagus Guesthouse was great and is located at the sea. Our room had an amazing view over the sea! It was winter so we did not see many whales. 
The room was very nice and the bathroom was also very large.
The guesthouse has several cosy sitting rooms and also a small bar. 
The breakfast was made on order. 
Within a 10 minutes walk to several cafees and restaurants.
Very recomanded to stay there.

When you go to Hermanus, stay at Pelagus.

A very nice and very friendly guest house in Hermanus. Nadia was very helpful when we arrived and showed us to our room. The place was very clean and tidy and very welcoming. Enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was room 1 with lovely views over the ocean.

Very nice

We stayed for one night and had to get up quite early to get to the shark cage diving in Gansbaai so we didn't really want the full breakfast before setting out to sea hence I can't comment on it. However they did open the kitchen early to accommodate us. The room was spacious and comfortable but we had issues with the WiFi - we had a much better connection in the lounge. 

It's a short walk to the centre of town and the person who met us gave us a great recommendation for dinner (Lemonicious) and we also managed a run along the coastal path to which there is easy access.

We couldn't use the pool (too cold!) but it would be lovely in summer.

Nice, small hotel in a good location

So cozy and nice place to stay whenin Hermanus. Just a few minues walk from center of Hermanus makes this location just perfect! Nice and friendly staff and delicious breakfast! The door to our terrrace was not able to open, but other then that everything was fine. Very nice house with all the different rooms for guests to use and nice pool area.

Grat location

Tricky one to review as I had mixed feelings about my one night stay. Reception was friendly and we were quickly shown to our rooms. I was given room 4 which to be honest has a view of a wall. No air conditioning just an old fashioned central light fan. Room is spacious enough but the big metal bath just has a shower attachment which I found difficult to use and to be honest these days I expect a shower as well. Price of stay is reasonable however which needs to be considered. Lounge areas are nice and the building has an old fashioned colonial style to it. The pool area is nice and sheltered from the wind. The centre is a short walk away - 10 minutes at most and there are nice coastal walks. You have to order breakfast the day before which again I don’t understand as it is not cooked until you go to breakfast. Friends room had no fan which really isn’t good enough in hot temperatures. All in all mixed feelings but not terrible and reasonable value for money.
