Excellent service & friendly owner & staff! A pleasure to receive such kind & wonderful service! Rooms clean, neat & comfortable. Wonderful area outside at swimming pool. Enough space to relax (and work) in a peaceful environment.

Harmony in Hermanus

Disliked  · Various aspects did not meet our expectations. This is listed as a pet-friendly facility, but the resident pets were quite territorial and attacked our dog on several occasions. They often came into our space and even made a mess within our living space - took things out of the rubbish bin and 'peed' in front of the rooms. There are no adequate outside areas (such as lawns) for pets. An elderly guest was also snapped at by the Weimerheiner. We had to share a 'private' balcony and all other areas with strangers - this was not made clear on the website or upon arrival. There is a small outside braai on the balcony (2x3m) that is supposed to service 10 people but could only fit 3 people at a time. The kitchen is also ill- equipped. The property has a pool, but the gate to the pool was locked most of the time. One also had to get through the washing on the line to get to the pool ..... The geysers were often switched off resulting in cold showers.  Nothing was done/supplied to accommodate load shedding.  Communication by the host was not always aligned - promises were made, but not kept in terms of room allocation. During a relatively calm family dinner, we were requested to be quiet from 22h00 in order to not disturb other guests. Overall not a good experience for us as a family and our dog.

Not what we expected

zThis property is nothing like the pictures on booking.com. When i queried it the owner was rude to me and told me to leave. No breakfast or coffee or tea offered. When it came to leaving i could not get my car out as i was parked in. Staff were very nice and apologetic but definitely would not recommend this property.

Rude owner

The place was decent, a drive to the beach and the room was okay, the bed was quite noisy and the dogs need to be trained well. The owner had to lock them in a car when we were checking in and it became a mission coming in and out of the house. We also made use of the braai area which was nice and they offer coffee and rusks, nice touch. The owner of this place said some really racially insensitive things. My husband and I are in an interracial marriage, after asking how it was for our families, she went on to play an incredibly racist video for my husband. She then proceeded to say there are two black couples checking in and she's worried, her exact words were "I'm not racist or anything, but you know how black people get". We definitely will not be visiting this place again and really hope the owner does better.

We had a good stay the lady was really friendly and went out of her way in assisting us with our pet aswell, pet friendly places is hard to find but this is truly a blessing and the place is clean and comfortable 

One night away

Room had dreadful smell. Woken up at 6.30 by dog howling and barking inside. Impossible to sleep as this went on for the next hour.
Dog mess right outside bedroom door. Bed comfortable but unpleasant experience.


Nantucket

We had such a lovely stay at Nantucket - Renee and Wayne made sure we felt at home, and comfortable. We had everything we needed - and there were so many lovely, extra touches that made our stay memorable. 
We will definitely be back! 

A home away from home

Nantucket has dangerous dogs who are let loose in the street and attacked Neighbours and people walking in the street. 
Not safe for anyone!
Apparently they have 16 complaints from the community who have reported their dogs.
The owner has not taken any action and has more dogs than allowed

Didn't get the room I booked. Was downgraded to a horrible dungeon room with no apology except that they're double booked. 

Could they not have told me that before I arrived???

Too many dogs. Ugly house.

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
Love that fact that dogs are welcom
Room was very warm even with door open and fan on. Would be good to have air con.
Bathroom was a bit small. Nice to have a larger bathroom with bath and shower included.
