My partner & I were looking for a centrally located, welcoming, safe, luxurious (but affordable!) place to stay for a night or two in a nice, conveniently located suburb of Johannesburg.  Friends of ours recommended Acacia House in Rivonia/Sandton & we can't thank them enough!  It was fantastic in every respect!  Lovely rooms, comfy beds, tasteful/classy furnishings, charming hosts, great food, lots of luxurious touches, beautiful tranquil gardens, peaceful tree-lined streets  - just perfect!  We'll definitely be back!

What a Fabulous Find!

I highly recommend this Guesthouse if you're visiting Northern Johannesburg. 

The property is set in a quiet estate and has a gated entrance. To the rear of the house there is a lovely outdoor seating area / garden with a pool. I spent most mornings enjoying a coffee & breakfast on the patio taking in the sunshine. On a Sunday I was able to spend the day chilling in the garden listening to music, reading or working. 

Upon arrival I was greeted so warmly and made to feel welcome. Everyone was friendly and happy to chat; giving tips on the local area. All the ladies are lovely and I want to thank them for making me feel at home. 

I stayed in a self-catering room which had a lovely bathroom, a good sized bedroom, living room and a small kitchen (fridge, hob, kettle, microwave & toaster). Although a little frayed at the edges the room was comfortable and met all my needs. The only qualm I had was the entrance into the bathroom was a little tight as you opened & closed the door. 

Rivonia Village is a short walk where you have access to a number of stores and eateries. And within 15-30 mins drive (depending on traffic) you can get to Sandon & Rosebank. Uber is frequently used here.

When I'm next in the area I will most definitely stay here. 



Home away from home

This was my second stay and i was not disappointed. Rooms were clean and staff are friendly. Will definitely stay here again if i am in the area for business again. Conveniently located in a secure area with everything you could need less than 4km from you.

2nd Stay

Sally, Robbie,  Chris you guys where amazing, felt like was home and part of the family, arranged shuttles to and from where i was doing my business and the informative chats we had (thank you Robbie), the breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious (Thank you Chris and Company). Sally always that friendly smile and checking if everything was fine through out my stay (thank you).

I will definitely be back.

Loved it

A very nice guesthouse where we got a very warm welcoming by Sally and Betty, and our room was clean with pleasant furnituring . We had a view to the garden and the pool, the breakfast was good and it was very nice sitting in the garden, eating it. 
A little tricky to find the way but it was the first time driving in south africa.
Recommended.

A nice stay in Johannesburg

Still a beautiful location and spacious suite. However, management no longer hands on. Discovered food left from previous occupants dated back to early June in the cupboards. This included perishables such as breadrolls and vegetables. Over the course of our stay housekeeping removed towels and empty soap bottles without replacing it. The daily breakfast order was ALWAYS incorrect! Not a 4 star stay at all. A generous 3 for the location and beautifully spacious bathroom.
