Dear traverels  this property is not a big but this is great place to staying at Singapore. Specially Front office Alex oh & Kim heng are very good person they help me to arrange my trip in Singapore. Housekeeping department very friendly #rooms are comfortable A/C and Hot water,  Wi-Fi connection is good. I RECOMMEND to stay this property.

Wonderful stay at the 81 hotel

ordered standard queen for one night with no breakfast. 
Pro:
The room is clean, but very small even for asian couples.
The bathroom is very clean, despite (again) small and have enough amenities'.
Wifi is free and fast. 
Location is 10 mins walk from Lavender MRT. So anybody taking MRT from Changi would not have to change the line. 
Fairprice supermarket is 5 min walk, convenient to buy instant noodles or bread for breakfast.
Mustafa center is 20 mins walk
Competitive price with good room quality.
Concierge to keep your luggage after check out

Con:
Aircon temp cannot be adjusted and central, so left sleeping with too cold temperature. 
TV remote control also does not work, probably the battery died.
Small small small room, if you're big avoid this hotel.
Blanket and towels is too thin.

Hotel 81 Lavender - Good for short stay

Because most of air bnb accommodation were fully booked ( as I booked it quite short notice)  I tried to book this hotel .I though ok just for 2 nights relax  before flying back to London in next couple days it should be ok staying in small hotel with small rooms. I have been to Singapore many times but mostly stayed in Orchard area or Tanjong Pagar.
So basically when booking this hotel I was quite gambling, my guidelines was only the reviews.But it turned out  good.The room, the bath room are very clean.They provide kettle, two hangers to hang your jacket or clothes.
The wifi is very good. 
The location is good. Bus stops near by just across the main road opposite the hotel. 15 min walk to Mustapha Centre, a big mall that provide cheap stuffs   .The kopi tiam next to the hotel    caters asian foods, coffee and tea.
My favorite stall here is the chicken rice.So yummy and fresh. 


Small room but very clean

The only good thing about the hotel is it's close to MRT lavender. Otherwise the hotel itself is located on a very unattaractive street next to a smelly resturant. . Aircondiiner was okay. There were only 9 boring channels on television.  My bed was not clean. There were long hair on the pillow. Mattress was hard. There were numerous ants in the washroom. The whole night I was listening to settling noises in my room. I'm still not sure whether the noise was coming from bed or lamp or cups or floor or lights or walls or rug or washroom etc etc etc....Place is not worth the 99 dollars that they charge per night. I just stayed there one night. Period.

I had made booking and payment with Expedia online.    Upon checking in time, my guest is unable to check in becuase this Hotel 81 Lavender do not recognised Expedia.      Expedia staff called the Hotel and still unable to solve the checking-in problem, my foreign guest had to wait for more than 3 hours and still unable to check-in.    In the end, I had to make an extra trip down to this hotel personally and made payment before my foreign guest is allowed to check in to the Hotel.

The hotel certainly does not look like it's presented on photos. 
Our room was very tiny and it was covered with dust, the smell from the air conditioner was disgousting and the balcony faced a constrution site, so when we opened window it was extremly loud. 
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, we ran away after 20 minutes.
