-Filthy rooms with a specific 💩 smell
-communist bathroom, even the water smelt really weird
-most unfriendly/rude staff I have ever met in a hotel
(I paid on booking for a parking spot and a balcony and the lady at the reception simply refused to give me a room with a balcony and they said there are not free parking spots so sorry, no cashback)
-breakfast which was supposed to be free was charged double (the coffe/watter which was a part of the menu was charged separated)+ rude staff again and 50 minutes for 3 plates of cold food

In my opinion a bench in a park is nicer and cheaper



DO NOT STAY HERE

I was there for 4 nights since May 30 until June 3rd. The hotel is right next to the train station and onto a small island on the lake and a good 20 minutes walk to the town centre. The location it's quite picturesque, there are a lot of flowers and also a swing. When I booked I asked for a double room. When I got there they said the double rooms face the street, and I said it's alright. The room was on the ground floor facing the parking lot, and it was a good size. The next day coming from town I heard the lady at the reception saying to a new customer the double rooms face the lake...
Entering my room I noticed that the only thing the cleaning staff did was emptying the trash, no making the bed, no vacuuming.
For the next days I don't think anyone came inside my room because the trash kept piling in the bin, and after it was full around the bin.
I can't say anything about the breakfast because they weren't yet allowed to serve it, but one could have it room serviced.

Dissapointing

My husband and I stayed here for a total of 3 nights. We had a lovely room, with a balcony overlooking the lake. Breakfasts were quite nice, although we had some trouble communicating in English with the staff. Hamburger appetizers were quite delicious.

Quiet location with plenty of space to sit outside

The worst hotel I've been to. The restaurant was terrible. The housekeeping "service" woke me up in the morning by entering into my room without knocking or asking, even though it was locked from inside. Two women opened the door, talked about something for a minute in the entrance to my room and then left and even didn't close the door after them!!! Incredible unprofessionalism and rudeness! I've never seen such thing! And there was not even a piece of ordinary soap in the bathroom!

For an inexpensive place to stay that is clean and well taken care of, Insula is the plan for you.  The rooms are fine and the restaurant is good. It's not first class but it has been well taken care of and maintained.  

Just stayed one night 

+ Conditii in general bune, priveliste frumoasa inspre lac, camere curate, restaurant deschis non-stop.
+ Good overall conditions, nice view over the lake, clean rooms, the restaurant is open 24h.

- Miros ciudat in camera, camerele de la mansarda nu au balcon, doar un geam mic care nu se deschide complet. Daca e o petrecere in restaurant, muzica se aude destul de tare in camera. Micul dejun cam scump, 20 lei / pers. si include un meniu fix.
- Rooms are a bit smelly, the ones on the upper floor don't get a balcony, only a small window which doesn't fully open. If there's a party in the restaurant, you can here the music in the room. Breakfast a bit expensive for the place.

Easter break

Not that breakfast is everything but it wasn't really acceptable for a bed and breakfast type hotel stay where breakfast is an important feature. 

It was not a buffet style so we chose from the menu which was not the most extensive and we chose two options from 6 available... both of which were questionable. The bread was stale and hard. The cereal was tasteless and came with a separate bowl of hot milk (!). The continental menu was dubious - about 5 slices of processed meat, some tomatoes and a ball of fried cheese. Mum said the cheese was plasticky and tasted of rubber. Had to pay for extra coffees to wash it down but mostly left the breakfast uneaten as not particularly edible. 

Aside from breakfast, the rooms were clean and pleasant and reasonably comfortable beds. The air con is a little on the old side and so very noisy and takes a while to kick in - recommend ear plugs if you want a cool room but a good sleep.
