I've stayed at the hotel alone, which was a real mistake. The hotel overall was quite alright, but I wholeheartedly hope the male French receptionist had been fired by now. First thing he did was steal my clothes from a hanger WHILE I was showering and claim he didnt realise someone was in there later, so I had to walk to the front desk only in my underwear which I luckily brought into the stall. The second night he was making small talk with me while I was studying, which was pretty nice until he decided to lead me into an empty room and pin me against the wall demanding a "kiss",  despite seeing me absolutely terrified and refusing, god knows what would have happened if he hadn't heard a noise and let go. All while being at work. If he does still work there, please  take it as a warning and stay safe.

Location and hostel ok, the staff is a joke

This hostel is probably the best I have ever visited, I was made to feel like part of the family as soon as I arrived. The location is superb, right on the main shopping stretch, with easy access to everywhere.

I was initially scheduled to stay for 3 nights, but extended that as I loved it so much, the staff are fluent in English, and are happy to teach you a bit of Polish if you would like. A special shout out to Jacek, very funny man and goes out of his way to help you.

Deffinately will return :)

A very well placed hostel very much at the heart of this charming city. Very wee managed offers  very reasonable rates for a decent bed/room.  Highly recommended to those on budget. Easy walking to the main attractions of the city, it is located on a nice street with no vehicular traffic. The area is dominated by young people but when I stayed there  several older people seemd to enjoy the atmosphere. There  are many inexpensive and quick restaurants in the vicinity. If you are on a budget and do not mind a collective residence then I strongly recommend.  Try it.

Very good  hostel at excellent location

We had a reservation made through hostel world for two nights but we wanted to change it to one night. Hostel world webpage said that we had to contact the hostel and when we did they told us they wouldn't do anything with very bad manners and we couldn't modify the reservation. 

The hostel is in a third floor without any lift which is a problem if you have heavy baggage cause there is no one to help you with it. We stayed in a room with 10 beds and no heating. There were three toilets but the door of one of them was broken and it couldn't be closed so it was useless,  and the showers were small, there was a  more private bathroom but it was dirtier than the other and its shower had a really disgusting curtain. The kitchen can't be used for cooking (no stove). There is a no smoking rule and yet the entrance and our room smelled strongly. The last day the person in charge did not speak english. 


Good location, ok hostel, rude staff. 

Location: main street and around 5 minutes walking from the main main square. (very good!) 
Facility: we got a room of 8 beds (boys and girls together) and there was NO HEATING so very cold, and ONLY 2 electrical outlets and not even close to the bed, so I couldn't charge my phone at all. There are no small service light (night lamps), so every time someone come to the room at night or leaves early in the morning he must turn on the central light of the room, waking everyone up. kitchen, common room and showers are ok. 
Staff: The guy was very nice and also gave us a small discount because our 5th friend couldn't come and we had to pay for him. The lady that works there was not nice at all, and when we checked out we wanted to stay an hour in the common room before we have to leave for our bus, given the fact that it's minus 3 outside, and she said: you must leave the hostel. we were quite surprised, all over the world whenever you checkout from the hostel you can stay as much as you want in the common room before your flight/bus. So, we took out stuff and left. 
Bottom line, there are many other hostels on the same street, so I will never go back to this one.

Poor hostel with great location

Clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly owner who is always at the hostel, watching tv in living room (do whatever you need - you can always ask him) and fantastic localization (3 mins to Stary Browar). Price is quite low, we paid 100 zł/night for double room. The only 'minus' is kitchen without stove, with microwave only. Also, if you don't like night life you should not stay here - it is quite busy outside, even at night, so you will not get much sleep since all windows look out on the street.

I stayed in this hostel five nights and although not terribly busy during the time I was there, I have to say I rather enjoyed it. The common room is large, spacious and filled with comfy couches and a large dining table with two large windows looking down onto the pedestrian street below. The kitchen is a decent size, has ample plates and cups but be aware, it is lacking a stove and there isn't even a hotplate. Cooking is reduced to microwaving or eating raw food.  Eggs, I found out, can be microwaved. :-)

The beds in the dorm room are comfortable, the lockers are good-size and the WIFI worked quite well. The 10-bed dorm was divided with a half wall, blocking off two sets of bunk beds to give a bit more privacy and space. 

The owner/manager, Prezemek, is personable, kind and makes sure his guests are comfortable and is always available to answer any and all questions. 

Old Town, about a 10 minute walk from the hostel, is fabulous, colorful and the architecture is sure to blow your mind. If you have a half day available, I recommend spending time at the Citadel Park.

I recommend staying in this hostel if you ever get to Poznan.
