this most interesting part of may vacation is to going to irawan ecopark I like the ambiance the forest and also the 1.3 canopy zipline I really like it.. irawan ecopark is also the main source of water in the city of Puerto 

most interesting 

My wife tried the 1.3KM zip line, since they had the other two closed. The travel time was basically from our hotel, in town, to Irawan EcoPark took about 45mins in a tryke that we hired for that time. It cost us PHP400. 

I think this experience was the highlight of our Puerto Princesa visit. 

A must try! 

Ziplining

Visited Nov. 2014. There are two ways to go there:1)Join a tour group-expensive 2) Go there by public transport-jeepney.

I decided to go there by jeepney, part of the adventure. The jeepney driver dropped us by the front gate of the main eco park. The staff were friendly.

We first wandered around. First at the pearl museum in front then to the beautiful grounds. Next was the main exhibits.

The staff patiently explained the exhibits.

We were diappointed that they don't serve food anymore except breakfast to those who are staying in the tent bed and breakfast. There were no other guests that time.

We were about to leave when we decided to do the sky walk. The zipline looked like it was no challenge.

They drove us up to the hills through secondary growth forest. The road was bumpy, again consider it part of the adventure.

The four wheel drive vehicle stopped at a clearing which was beautifully landscaped with life like statues of a cultural minority group. Took some pictures and looked at more exhibits. The guides then asked us the wear the harness for the sky walk.

We then climbed to the platform to start the sky walk. The platform and hanging bridges were made of bamboo. The structure were really old looking. The hanging bridge were missing some steps. Some parts of the hanging bridge were inclined to make the walk more difficult. Of course it is safe as you are wearing a harness attached to a wire rope above the hanging bridge.

My wife was really afraid to go on with the walk. I went ahead and she eventually followed. There are guides on the sky walk assisting us. I even walked in the more difficult parts without holding the hand rail. Of course i fell and my helmet fell around 10 meters to the ground. Of course I was very safe as the harness kept me from falling from the bridge.

It is a very thrilling walk as it looked very dangerous but if you really consider the harness the walk is very safe and all the danger is more just in between your ears.

Highly recommended for everyone.

Wonderful eco adventure

WE took a day tour here at P1300 per head, that includes activities like tarzan swing, canopy skywalk, zip line 1.3km, 540meters, 170meters,  carabao ride, fish feeding and lunch inclusion and they will fetch you from your hotel round trip.  All in P1300.00 so it is cheaper if you will avail the package, although we did not like the lunch that they served. And another thing i don't like here is that the garden are not properly maintained and the rest room are really really really need some renovations.So i hope they will do something about this to attract more tourists.

We come to Puerto Princesa just to try the zip line and we were very disappointed when we heard it is closed 3 months ago. No one in the city haven't told us this fact although we mentioned our plan to receptionist and tricycle riders. Whole park is empty and looks abandoned. After we walked more then 2 km through wood, we realized there is nothing to see there and it is probably closed. Then we got back and found small entrance ex-office house where guy told us they close it 3 months ago. So, don't waist your time in Irawan but instead go to Santa Monica on butterfly farm. It is beautiful.
