RedDoorz Plus @ Gracey Dive Resort Dumaguete

This place is right on the beachfront and has their own dive shop, making it super convenient for doing local and shore dives. Prices are very reasonable for diving -4000 Php to go to apo island and cheaper for shore dives. There isn’t a designated receptionist so we had to walk to the restaurant (located 15ft from the receptionist) to check in. Restaurant prices are reasonable for a hotel - around 160-220 php for breakfast. My room was clean and the people here are friendly. 

Had a great stay at Gracey oceanfront resort. Did some fun shore dives and an Apo trip on their new boat. The owner and staff are very friendly and approachable, just like family.  Their dive guide is motivated and knowledgeable. Reasonably priced food and drinks at the restaurant as well.

Diving is amazing with scuba crew diveshop which is the partner of the resort.
Resort has a new boat which is the biggest diving boat that can bring lots of divers.
It has more rooms now with own bath and toilet inside the rooms. 
Staff will clean up the rooms everyday,and you dont need to tell them.
The restaurant is available if you do some orders. Breakfast is not included in the room rate so you have to order separate. They had standby cook if you do some food orders.
Staff are honest and very friendly to all the guest.
I would recommend this to all my friends.
They cleaned the swimming pool everyday, so if you wish to get a diving course , just come here, they do the discover scuba  in the pool.
Had a great time in this resort....

Clean and comfortable by the ocean 

Beautiful Beach, Dive Spot in front of the resort...

We stayed here without reading the reviews, we went mainly for the price. 

Positives: 
Clean rooms, large beds, hot showers, air conditioning, decent mango shakes, free water refills. 

They cleaned our room to within a inch of its life when we went out one day, with fresh towels and sheets. Highly appreciated! 

You can rent a motorbike through them. They have beach access and umbrellas on the beach for a chilled breakfast. Close walking distance to other dive centres, I say this as Graceys boat was hired out and they didn’t have any trips. To be honest though I wouldn’t bother- they are way over priced. Head to Aivey Mays or Bongo Bongo. 

Negatives:
This place seemed to be run by young Filipinos who barely knew what was going on. Leah was super helpful though and if she wasn’t there the other staff members looked perplexed even if you were ordering a beer. 

Food was mediocre at best, be prepared to wait at least half a hour for anything.

Clean rooms, on the beach, poorly organised

Beautiful mansion on the waters edge facing Apo Island. great reef Snorkelling 200 meters to the right. Good swimming  immediately in front  and well shaded beachfront.But unfortunately the whole place was filthy. The bathrooms mostly shared were tired with years of grime.The food aside from the Pizza was abysmal. With a lot of care and updating of equipment this could be a four or five star resort. It has the potential to be one of the best places we stayed in seven weeks travelling in the Philippines. We fervently hope that whoever owns this property will realise its potential and the need for re investment. 

Such potential wasted!!!

Came here looking for somewhere different than where we'd been going for dinner.

We had to find someone to confirm they were open and get a table (the place was empty). We then had to find someone to get menus. Then find someone to take our order.

After 30 minutes (remember, we were the only ones there), we tried to find someone to ask how long the food would be. Ended up having to go into the kitchen where the cook went and found someone.

We were told it would be 10 minutes.

20 minutes later (a total of 50 minutes), the food arrived. It was fine, but not worth waiting nearly an hour for.

Save the trouble, go somewhere else for food

We’ve visited this place several times along with some of our foreign clients to enjoy he nice ambience but our visit this September is partly uncomfortable because of the smell from the pigpen nearby. We didn’t enjoy our food at all because of the smell.

When we arrived I thought they were closed, no one around to greet you and help with luggage, when I finally found someone they were busy on their phone. finall got to our room and was shocked to find cockroaches running around the bathroom, it looked like the bathroom had not been cleaned from the last visitors, I went to the market and purchased a can of Roach spray,,I sprayed under the bed and there was about a months of dust very discouraging. Stayed only one day and went elsewhere, the food was of low quality, staff was unconcerned to busy on their phones.

Nightmare.

the time we reach gracey dive resort it was sometime around 0530pm. 
Moment we arrive no one at the reception and we had to go around looking for the receptionist. Once check in went to room and wanted to take shower after a day of travelling, the bathroom light was not working expect a small build which is glowing.
Informed the reception, their reply was "yes it was broken, we will change tommorow as the maintenance staff is off work already". No light in the showers and staff know about it and know we are checking in the early evening and didn't fix it....what are they doing for the whole day?

Reception was calling someone, most likely person in charge, I know about of visaya so I can make out what they saying. Interuppt the staff on the phone so I can speak to the person in charge on the phone but wouldn't let me, when finished the phonecall, staff say don't want let me speak to person in charge on the phone as she will get scolded.....I paid to stay here and you expect me to suffer for your mistake ? 

Finally I said ask whoever is the next person in charge on the resort, suddenly the staff who was in the phone and her colleague said they are the person in charge, 2 staff claim they are in charge and yet they couldn't provide me with a solution.

Ask for a refund they reply no way to do it, It keep dragging on and on and till my boiling point and I just returned the keys and search for a new accommodation nearby. 

From moment I check in till I left, the whole exchange only last for less than 25mins only. 

I will bringing up this issues with booking.com, I work in the travel industry so I will make sure my colleague never go with this resort.

Bad service at all. In Dauin exist so many good resorts and dove center. but this one ist one if the wprst place i ever visited. After one noght we move again.Also the redtaurand and food is not good and ghe staff is horroble. the coffee tastes like water.
