Premises: It is strategically located near Robinson's Mall and quite a walking distance to 7 Eleven and SM CDO Premier

Place: The room is a bit musty and molds were visible on the walls and bathroom.  Further, cobwebs and dust are noticeable in horizontal structures.  General housekeeping needs improvement though

Passion for Service: Check-in and check-out are a breeze and help needed from staff can be served in an instant (laundry, dry press and toiletries replenishment)

Plate: The restaurant offers a variety of meal from breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Price: Reasonable

We have a great and fun experience. We love the place specially our room, the mouth watering breakfast buffet the pool and kids room. Thank you so much for your very accomodating personnels. We will surely comeback here.😊👍

I found CDO a very busy city. But when I checked in Discovery Hotel, it was very quite and clean. It is located far from the main road where a lot of vehicles passing. The room is actually spacious for the two person. Kudos!

I chose this hotel because I needed a family room in the city centre. Unfortunately I found it very disappointing. The room itself was ok, though the plumbing in the bathroom did not work properly and there was no hot water, neither unusual for a budget hotel in the Philippines. I could have accepted that but several things lead me to recommend avoiding this hotel. There is a very noisy karaoke across the road, making it difficult to sleep. This is particularly bad in rooms at the front of the hotel (like ours) but loud enough that it may affect those further back also. Some of the staff were helpful but overall I have to rate the service as poor. Our room was not cleaned at all in the 4 days we stayed. On the final day, we wanted to leave early, so went down for an early 'all-day' breakfast. However, nobody would serve us. It seemed that the cook was working and there were plenty of other staff around but the waiter had not come to work. When I tried to get service, I was told that nobody else was allowed to take our order - apparently obeying this stupid rule was more important than serving their customers!! I will not go there again.

this is a budget hotel where we stayed for 2 days@995 per day good for 2 pax but no free breakfast. whats to like is that its in the middle of the city,walking distance to centrio mall and robinsons mall and many restaurants and massage/spas abound in the vicinity.there was also a ccf center where you can worship just a few steps from the hotel.  the room is comfortable albeit in an old-fashioned way. the staff is very courteous.there is no elevator though so you have to go up the stairs in order to get to your room.there was also a massive brownout when we were there but the hotel has a big generator that we didnt even felt it was a whole day brown-out in the city. the palengke also is a pedicab ride away around 5-10mins where you can buy fruits and other pasalubong although you can also buy your pasalubong at the centrio mall or robinsons. not advisable to buy at the airport as the pasalubongs there are quite expensive

very convenient location

Located in downtown Cagayan De Oro. Parking space is very limited and security not guaranteed unless you are lucky enough to park near the entrance.

The security guard informed me the place is not safe that even their receptionist celphone was stolen inside the hotel.

Old hotel that need lots of improvement. It is only good for overnight stay then off we go. Never mind the breakfast as the food served are bad. Rice is undercooked.
