Checked in to attend a friend's wedding this August.

What I liked:
- staff: everyone from the front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. Did not notice a single frown or any half-hearted efforts to assist me and my parents despite our many mishaps during our stay :) Thank you to Miss Lanie, Miss Marie, and all the front desk staff for all your help!

- shower: did not expect it to be nice given the state of the bathroom (see below in things to improve), but the water pressure and heater were both lovely. Perfect after our long drive and the wedding activities.

- food: I loved the complimentary breakfast! Despite the few options, it hit the mark of what I usually expect in local hotels. Portions were big and filling + they gave us complimentary buns on our last day. Brewed coffee was great according to my dad. For dinner on the first night, the sinampalukang manok was very comforting as it wasn't salty and was seasoned perfectly. The sizzling tofu was salty though, but not inedible. Overall, good food & service at the Garden Restaurant + Sir Tito was very friendly.

- scenery: their garden venue for weddings was lovely. The pond beside the restaurant also seemed well-maintained. The hotel lobby was also beautiful and always smelled nice :)

- check-in: was a quick process, probably because we paid in full beforehand

What could be improved:
- room maintenance for non-suite rooms: We were checked in for 3D2N and always ran into a problem :( On our first day, we had to ask to be relocated from Room 317 due to the strong dusty/moldy smell in the room & weak AC unit (which did not help get rid of the musty odor). The staff did acknowledge the smell in the original room (which I hope has been addressed now) and helped us move to Room 314, which was much cleaner and had better AC. On our 2nd day though, the door lock battery died so I couldn't enter when I was supposed to prepare for my friend's wedding. My parents, who planned to have lunch out in Tagaytay, had to return to the hotel to help me. Thankfully the staff was able to assist us & replace the door battery within 30 minutes despite the busyness with guests checking in. However, we were locked out again at 10pm that night, where the front desk told us that they might have incorrectly disabled our room door due to the number of guests checking out that day. 

My friend was in the Junior Suite so I did notice the difference in upkeep. Hopefully the hotel management takes care of all the rooms equally.

- facilities: the "superior" room looked dated and like it's not used often. The toilet tissue roll looked like it had been there for some time, the bathroom had water stains all around, the water kettles were old (the first one wasn't working, and the replacement they gave us smelled like cheap old plastic after we boiled the water). We also had to run the bidet and shower for a bit to get rid of the smell that's caused by lack of use. Only 1 hanging rack for clothes and no actual wardrobe. Lighting could also be improved as it does feel too dim. Wi-fi signal is weak in the non-suite rooms.

- bedding: we only had 1 pillow per bed and the mattress was a little too firm for our liking. The linens were comfy but had some stains on them.

- staffing: I only noticed maybe 3 or 4 housekeeping staff around the hotel area but multiple staff in the restaurant. Maybe having more staff in the main hotel could help with addressing the issues I had above.

Extra mile from the hotel staff/management:
I had unknowingly dropped my 2nd pair of prescription eyeglasses before we checked out. The staff was quick to inform me via Viber after housekeeping alerted them of this and they shipped it to me via LBC within a week. Very grateful for the effort!!! 

Other things to note:
- No elevators as there are only 3 floors so I guess it's not a building requirement. Keep this in mind if you're bringing along luggage or multiple items. Miss Lanie from housekeeping manually carried all our stuff so we did feel the need to help her up the stairs.
- It's quite a long walk from the hotel to the garden restaurant, but there are golf carts available from time to time. Good exercise though :)
- Pet friendly!

I would've scored lower if not for the great service we received. To the management, kudos for training your staff well. However, please do invest in the upkeep of your hotel facilities. This would give a better overall experience for your guests :) 

Lovely events place and stop-over, not so lovely hotel.

It was our second time here, this time with friends. The last time we were here was in December with our family. The friendliness of staff and the impeccable hospitality of Mr Tito M was consistent in both occasions. 

The food we had here were excellent In December. We orders a few dishes for lunch which were really good. 

Yesterday, we came for coffee and light bites. Coffee was lovely. We had the turon and pizza pinakbet to share. Both are well prepared, presented well and yummy! 

The ambience in this place is superb. Despite the rain and wind we had for the day. We sat in one of the outside covered spaces and soaked into the natural feeling of the environment. It’s a place one would always want to return to for a relaxing meal. Toilets are clean, too! 

This is one of our go to places when we are in town!

Superb: food, staff and surroundings.

There was no dresser which is a necessity to every traveler. Tne slippers were hidden that we werent able to use it on our arrival day. No lamp shade to be used when going to the toilet if you switch off the lights. 
Incomplete imformation especially with regards the breakfast venue.

Poor to Fair service.

Delightful hotel. Very quiet, secret almost. Never felt crowded and staff were discreet, helpful and professional at all times. Lovely breakfast. Could have done with better (some at least) transport between the hotel and the restaurant, but as the weather was good, we benefitted from the exercise!

Delightful hotel

Very nice ambiance, garden feel and calming mood is what Abagatan Ti will give you upon arrival. We were given a spacious room located at the 3rd floor. Check in and check out process was smooth. Daily breakfast is included with wide array of choices, good coffee is surely a plus! 

This hotel is already (waay!) past tagaytay, its also quite a drive going there. Closest convenience store is at Twin lakes (about 2km drive). The breakfast is included and cab either be served at the front cafe which is a good 2 min walk from where the rooms are located but you may opt to have your meal in room or you can request for a their electronic ride for free to the restaurant.

The only issue we had was the water leaking at the room assigned to us. Shower head and Bidet were filled with limescale and i had to clean them so water flow can improve, the water even leaked out to the room. Cleanliness and upkeep to their rooms needs further cleaning and attention. 

Overall, we had a good sleep, nice family time and the cool weather made this a memorable stay for the family.

Family weekend escape

Home away from home.. definitely a hidden gem in Alfonso, Cavite...
- chic landscaping
- luxurious executive suites, much better than Anya
- great Food (ilocano, pinoy, etc)
- nice pool
- great dining area beside the lagoon

Just simply awesome stay❤️

The place was awesome! It was my 50th birthday and my husband surprised me and our guest with our renewal of vows. We celebrated 25 yrs of marriage in 2019. Abagatan ti Manila is the perfect place to have this kind of celebration! An intimate garden wedding and a sumptuous dinner at the reception hall! 
The staff coordinated well with my husband’s “team” to make the surprise for me a success! 
Our room was perfect! Staff were accommodating. The entire place is well maintained and clean. I love their longganisa! 
To the staff, hats off to you guys!
You all did a great job!

50 & 25

If you want peace and quiet and to be away from it all, this hotel is for you.  The grounds are really nice and the facilities are nice as well.  There is not much to do around this place and food is decent though nothing extraordinary. You need a car because it's not accessible to public transportation. It's also far away from other establishments. 

Nice, relaxing staycation

This is the first time i learned about this reseort thru agoda. We decided to go to tagaytay this christmas season to break the tradition. 
The location is good as it is away from all the traffic and just 3 minutes away from Twin Lakes tagaytay where you can dine and shop just incase. 

The property is huge, there is a pond with ducks though the water is stagnant. The ambience is relaxing and i really feel the nature on the place. 
I love the landscaping, design and pool :) 
The lobby is huge and made of glass.
The staffs are nice and accomodating.
The rooms are big even the good for two has 2 beds (deluxe room) Though limited pillow to 2. Also not enough space for things/clothes as there is only one small cabinet inside the room. 
Only 1 chair and no food table though there is a side table.
The toilteries were also limited (2 shampoo and 2 shower gel) 

The good points is that the place is family friendly and very relaxing! This place is ideal for those seeking a relaxation away from the stressful and busy work outside.
The food we have for breakfast is a buffet! And its delicious! It is worth every penny 😊 
The room price is also affordable because it is huge and breakfast is already included
there is also a playroom for kids and a movie room! 

The only one thing we noticed is that the grills on the hallway has a hole which we find not child friendly as the child might sit on the floor and slip on the hole. 

But overall i recommend the place to those searching for unique place to stay in Tagaytay! Definitely worth every penny and will come back soon!


Christmas Staycation

The place is great for relaxation. It’s nice to walk around the area since it hs lots of trees and there’s a lagoon if you want to just relax. The room is clean and nice also. It is big enough for a couple room.
