Hotel Villa Rita Chiclayo

Located on a narrow street across from the central market, this hotel is also close to the Plaza Armas. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe there. The staff was helpful with everything I asked of them. Breakfast was simple - bread, jam, juice, coffee or tea. The internet worked well. Being across from the central market can have a down side if your room is in front. The garbage men come by very late at night to clean the trash out of the market. That's a noisy process. Vendors arrive early to unload their wares. Another noisy process. I doubt I would have heard any of that if my room hadn't faced the street. Don't let this stop you from staying at this excellent hotel. Just ask for a room away from the street.
