Great place really homie all the workeres at the reception are great one by one i had more connection with Yolanda yncappuyño. Allways helps allways knows everything and does everything with a huge smile!! 

Stayed there for a month

The stuff is friendly and very helpful!
I had to go to the doctor, and they arranged as soon as I asked.
They tell u how to get to the places very kindly.
The location is also good, u don't have to climb up the stairs from the main plaza, just flat way. (Many hostels located on the uphill a bit and it's so exhausting to go up hill with your luggage since Cusco is located more than 3000m high)
The light inside the room was not too bright, which is really good because many tourist come in and go out late in the evening and early in the morning since there r many kinds of torus, but still your sleep won't be disturbed much.
I recommend to stay here! ;)
多くのホステルが坂を上らないといけないですが、ここは平坦な道だけでプラザからも近いです。クスコは標高が高いので、それだけでかなりポイントが高いです。
スタッフも親切で、病院に行きたいと伝えるとすぐ対応してくれました。
バス停や観光地への道なども丁寧に教えてくれて、とても心地よい滞在でした。


Nice stay!

The hostel is in a great location, and is surprisingly quiet given its only a couple of blocks from the plaza de Armas. The rooms are clean and feel light and open, and the bathrooms are modern and clean.

Our bed was lumpy and felt like the springs were about to push through the mattress. Also, the building ran out of water twice during our one night stay.

Good location

Besides the noise at night coming from the bar next door as well as guests in the hostel itself (until 02.00 am, where as the hostel claims to be quiet after 11.00pm) this hostel has the most horrible staff! At the second day of our stay there my boyfriend got very ill and we needed to go to the hospital. The lady at the reception did not seem to be in a hurry to get us a taxi and when she did made us pay double the price. I found out about this the next day when I returned to the hostel to get our remaining luggage (the only plus in this story is they stored our luggage while we had to get to the hospital quickly) as I then paid half of what I had paid the day before. 
When coming back to the hospital the same lady pretended she did not recognize me, even when I said I had written her an email last night saying we had to spend the night at the hospital and if they could take care of our luggage until the next day for me to pick them up. She said she did not get a mail saying such a thing. Only when I showed her my luggage ticket she handed me back my bags. Again when she arranged me a taxi back to the hospital she charged extra, but I could not care any longer and took the taxi anyway. I was very dissappointed with such inhumane behaviour and would not recommand anyone to stay here as there are even cheaper hostels to stay in Cusco, even if you don't care about any hospitality or service.

HORRIBLE experience!!

I have had a really bad stay at the Chakana house. The breakfast was terrible, at night there was a lot of noise and the Wifi was bad. 

The location of the hostel was great, and the common areas looked quite nice but that does not compensate for the above. Have I mentioned that the staff was rude?
