Others have reported faults – I’ll focus on the positives. Set your expectations appropriately; for about half what we’d pay for a two-bed hotel room in the US, we had a three bedroom, two bathroom apartment with separate kitchen and living areas. I’d describe the area as impoverished, compared to the US, rather than sketchy; remember this is a developing nation, not Washington, D.C., or Paris. We stayed here on two separate occasions during our visit to Cusco, so saw two apartments. Both had two showers with hot water, although neither tub worked. Both had two space heaters and several thick blankets on each bed so we were comfortable. Each had different kitchen equipment but both had the ability to boil water on the stovetop (another reviewer noted there was no electric kettle, but such a kettle would be impractical for boiling water for the requisite 3 minutes). One kitchen didn’t have pans for cooking in the oven, but the staff quickly found us pans to use when we asked. There is no dishwasher but they provide dish soap and do the dishes themselves. There is a laundry machine on the 3rd floor, but there is no dryer (aside from the sun) so clothes will be “scratchy” compared to electric clothes dryers. The small pool was closed in August. There seems to be a wi-fi router on each floor, and our teens had no problem watching Netflix and I could check email easily. Breakfast was nice – fresh coffee from pre-boiled water and up to three eggs per person prepared per request, as well as fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juice, and breads. One caution – they only accept crisp US bills and have no change. On our second stay, most of our bills were rejected by the machine they use to store money so we paid with a crisp $100 bill and asked for change in Nuevo Soles. I’d have our family stay here again in a heartbeat!
