Hotel Marwid

I'd planned to stay with a friend in Chiclayo but they had last minute visitors and found a room for me here. This is a small, inexpensive hotel in the pleasant Paseo de las Musas area. The rooms are small but very clean and quiet, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are well insulated for sound, which has not always been the case in Peru, even at hotels that are more expensive. The bathrooms are nicely tiled and roomier than in most Peruvian lodgings. As of this writing, a single is 65 soles a night, or just under $20. There are some nice restaurants nearby. All in all, the stay was pleasant and surprising comfortable for the price.
